Reviews
Stan's sometimes gets some negative feedback. It's not as good as they proclaim! It doesn't have glitter in it! The Bontrager Sealant does!
Well, even I think of switching to Orange after all the negative hype, but the truth is that Stans works for me. I've had it seal 8...yes 8 punctures in one ride alone.
A couple weeks ago I was out in a semi-remote part of central Oregon. Of course I picked up a goat head when I was less than half way through my Century. And of course before I could resists pulling it out of my tire, I did pull it out. Yikes the sealant was oozing quickly. Argh, I didn't want to deal with installing a tube for this ride!! So, I rubbed some dirt on it and rode off hoping it would seal and I could forget about it.
I made it home hours later, tire full of air. That was 2-3 weeks ago and it's still holding the same air.
If you need flashy, sparkling glitter in your life, they make a sealant for that. They make snow globes with it too. But the truth is, Stans Still Works as it did when it first was introduced!
I do not recommend drinking this sealant - but it works great in tires. I started with Stans years ago and tried others lately - none of which worked as well or easily as Stans - so I am back!
