Perfect For Shreddin Trails, Rippin Enduro Courses, & Huckin Downhill Lines
Designed in conjunction with Australian downhill racer Troy Brosnan, the Maxxis Dissector 29" Wide Trail 3C/DH/TR MTB Tire seeks to minimize drag while retaining cornering control. This versatile tire can be used as a front, a pair, or as a rear depending on trail conditions.
The Maxxis Dissector is known around the mountain bike community as being tacky and grippy when it counts most — loose burms, washed-out corners, and techy steep climbs.
This Maxxis Dissector uses Downhill (DH) tech, which uses two layers of 60TPI rubber casings within the tread to offer ample puncture protection and protect the tire from rolling off the bead.
Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tire's tread layout and profile on today's modern, wider rims. Traditional tires are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tire profile, leading to less than optimal performance.
WT tires are optimized for a 35mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30-35mm inner rim widths, depending on the rider's preference.
This tire uses the Maxxis 3C MaxxGrip compound, which uses the softest rubber compounds and offers ultimate grip and slow rebound properties for unparalleled traction in downhill applications.
