The WTB Vulpine: an Equally Capable Gravel Racer and All-Arounder
Vulpine is the latest race-focused addition to WTB's line of beloved gravel tires — a drop-bar re-imagining of a proven semi-slick mountain tread with years of proven efficiency.
Ramped center knobs form a nearly uninterrupted centerline that decreases
rolling resistance while its round tire profile is packed with short, tightly-spaced knobs to provide predictable cornering traction on hardpack terrain. Providing stability and speed that lasts, the large center knobs make the Vulpine highly resistant to wear and improve its lifespan compared to other gravel tires.
Digging a Bit Deeper:
A fast and efficient centerline tread compound matched to sticky, low durometer side knobs coat a supple, gram-conscious casing designed to be compliant while still trail worthy.
WTB's proprietary Dual DNA compound is the perfect mix of efficiency, traction and durability. The centerline tread features a firmer rubber compound that boasts faster rolling and increased durability, while the side knobs are composed of softer, slower-rebounding rubber that improves control and grip.
SG2 anti-puncture technology defends all surfaces of a tire by providing an uninterrupted layer of puncture protection from bead to bead.
Looking for a lightweight efficient all-around gravel blaster? Vulpine be thy name.
