The Finishing Touch To Your Wrenching Room
Introducing the Topeak PrepStand X Work Stand. A compact and lightweight foldable work stand with unique 4-way adjustment and solid base for the home shop, race day, or other cycling events. Compared to its competitors, the Topeak PrepStand X creates a stronger connection with the bike by removing the front wheel. This allows the mechanic to work without fear of the bike slipping or moving.
The PrepStand X is also the lightest and most compact work stand on the market. It's designed to accommodate front and rear quick-releases, as well as 12x100mm, 15x100/110mm, and 20x110mm thru-axles. The main beam slides forward and back, as well as up and down, which is handy for performing brake bleeds. The bike is also elevated so it is easier to perform bottom bracket repairs. Like other Euro-style work stands, the PrepStand X rotates 360 degrees.
The PrepStand X is so well-made and convenient that it's no wonder it was the 2020 Bicycling Magazine Editor's Choice Winner.

Good choice for portable stand
This stand gets consistently good reviews and lives up to its reputation. The compromises for its relatively light weight are it 1. Uses a lot of plastic parts and 2. Has a weight limit that may preclude using it for something like a clunky town bike. In my case this stand supplements an old school steel work stand, each of which is useful in its own way. As a plus, it folds into a small enough package when not in use that it doesn't take up much space.

Great & Sturdy Bike Stand
I focused on this bike stand due to the fact that it is all aluminum and I was buying it for not only servicing our bikes but also for washing. It is an extremely well-built but not overly heavy. It is super sturdy and supports all of our bikes with no problem and the included fork mounts (thru axle, quick releases) makes it easy to attach all bikes. It is the middle of the pricing for this type of stand.
