The Schwalbe Romy Trail PRO 29" is a tire designed for maximum riding enjoyment, whether going uphill or downhill. As a trail and all-mountain tire with gravity genes, it combines low weight with balanced riding characteristics while remaining aggressive enough for demanding trails.

Aggressive shoulder lugs provide more grip in corners and maximum control in any situation. The closely spaced center tread pattern with shallower tread depth gives the tire good rolling performance and high durability. The result is a well-balanced overall tread pattern that optimally combines control and versatility. The Romy is lighter than many enduro tires, yet extremely robust and durable. It is suitable for use on both the front and rear wheels.

Trail PRO Construction - Optional Radial Casing

Compared to the TRAIL version, the TRAIL PRO offers even greater puncture protection while weighing less. The TRAIL PRO also features the proven Schwalbe APEX. This additional fabric-reinforced protective layer improves stability and significantly increases puncture resistance, without adding extra weight.

Romy is the first tire in Schwalbe's lineup to be available in a 2.4-inch radial version. With the Romy, mountain bikers now have a choice between two casing constructions:

• Radial: Flexible casing with a larger contact patch for improved grip, safety, and shock absorption. Ideal for the most demanding routes.
• Diagonal: Stiffer carcass for plenty of resistance on hard surfaces, e.g. bikepark flow line.

The radial version means more grip, more cushioning, more safety. How does that work? The carcass threads are woven at a blunter angle. This ensures that the tire can better conform to the ground at specific points and has a larger contact area on the trail. This provides more grip, more cushioning, and more safety.

Classic diagonal casing construction is the right choice when minimal rolling resistance and maximum puncture protection are the focus for riders willing to forgo the advantages of radial.
