Created for off-road use, the aggressive tread design impresses with its compact 'tape knobs' in the middle of the tread and provides full grip and unrivaled traction. The strong outer blocks provide the rider with safety at all times when cornering. The G-One Ultrabite's off-road performance is noticeably enhanced by the stable construction and progressive Tubeless Easy technology.
The tire is completed with the versatile Addix Speedgrip compound. In widths of 40mm and 50mm, the G-One Ultrabite is perfectly suited for use on gravel roads, forest tracks, and trails, even in challenging conditions.
The Ultrabite offers remarkable performance as a front tire in combination with G-One Bite or G-One Allround on the rear wheel.
Thanks to TLE tubeless technology all versions of G-One Ultrabite can be used tubeless.

Reviews
I put these (40mm) tires on my Open UP for a 5-day of adventuring in England in April. The weather and conditions were changeable to say the least - deep mud, chalk, flint, packed and some tarmac and even some flooded out trails. These tires performed admirably with no issues and no punctures. Traction to climb grassy hills and surety when taking rocky downhills. Now back in Northern California they are still doing a fine job but will likely return to my G-One R for the summer
I only have about 300 miles on these G One Ultrabites and so far they meet expectations. They clobber gravel, hang in the soft and hard dirt and roll fine on short asphalt blasts. They stay planted in turns and are a fair value for the price. My workout bike has grip and control now. I stick with what works for me on my 3 bikes and for the past decade Schwabs have not let me down. 40:years cycling and yes Ive run many other brands. Hope this helps a bit.
I bought this specifically before a big event because the dry weather had loosened up the roads a bunch, and a pre-ride showed me that my regular G1's prevented me from being able to stand while climbing. With these on, I could stand on the steep stuff. I would not want this level of knobs for most gravel rides, but being able to put the teeth on when I need it is great.
Rode this on my front gravel wheel for a 66 mile adventure ride with mixed terrain; smooth and washboard gravel, loose rock and sand. Handled well and took it all on. Some road noise on pavement but good for tarmac too.
I'm running a 50mm Ultrabrite as the front tire on my Moots Routt 45 for routes with a high percentage of gravel. Haven't put it through its paces completely. But pretty cushy ride on descents in the Virginia Piedmont so far. A fair bit of friction on pavement. Definitely an off-road tire.
