Works well, better than expected
The Ravemen PR1200 provides good illumination. I bought a light with more optical power than I needed to provide for future needs and because blacktop road surfaces are dark. Currently, I ride in a city/town environment. The lamps provide even illumination in the forward view; it is especially useful for avoiding potholes in the road. For urban use about 1/4 power is adequate, which means the light will function for a long time. The PR1200 has a high capacity battery, which provides power for more time than many other accessory lights.
Now for the negatives, which are fairly inconsequential. The mounting bracket for the device is aimed at bicycles with larger diameter handlebars than my comfort bike. I noted that Ravemen made a mounting for the smaller size, so I had to pay more for the proper fit. The smaller size mounting did not work correctly and I had to use the screw from the original included mount to make it work properly. The mounting is secure on the handlebars. The other minor design defect is that the light rotates on the mounting bracket so it may be aimed off access to prevent light from effecting oncoming vehicles. This is a good feature that works well for me. The problem I see for people traveling rough roads is that there is no screw to prevent the light from shifting position. Other manufacturers provide a set screw. I suppose that once the light was fixed on the handlebar, a little epoxy might permanently secure the mounting in its horizontal swivel mount.
I would give the light and control mechanism five stars. The memory feature makes it so the user does not normally need to flick through all the operational settings. The light has not required recharging yet, but I am sure that the need will come after a few more night trips at 1/4 power. All told the main complaint is that the light system mounting bracket did not come with an adapter or the user given a choice to sellect the mount that fits a bike with a small diameter bar.

Awesome light
This is a very solid front light. The many different settings are great. The best feature is the digital display for hours remaining until charge is needed!

Bright light, poor attachment mech.
I was really stoked to have this light. Bright, crisp, clear. First real ride downhill before dusk with it and I lost it on the trail. Would have noticed and found it if it were darker and the light were on, but didn't until it was too late. Couldn't find the light either.
I think the light is too heavy for the grip that the handlebar securing ring provides.
