Maxxis Minion DHF 29" 3C/EXO+/TR MTB Tire
With a tread design that deftly balances rolling speed with braking and cornering traction, it's hard to find fault with the Minion DHF.
That's probably why it's one of the most imitated tires in mountain biking. Whether riding local trails, a backcountry epic, racing enduro or World Cup downhill, there's a Minion DHF spec to meet your needs.

Reviews
This is a very durable long lasting tire. I have 1,600 miles on my current set that are showing very little wear. I find this pretty remarkable in that they are on Trek Rail eBike that gets about half of its miles on pavement as I ride to and from the mountain bike trails from my house. Low rolling resistance on pavement, great bite on the dirt. I run the DHF on the front and rear.
I actually have not used these yet. I just got some tires for the shelf as things are tough to find this day. Everything is over priced at this time due to supply constraints. I like the DHR and tried the DHF a few ago but did not like it. I prefer the Magic Mary. That said wanted to try these again.
Great performance on packed, loose and even slightly wet conditions. I ride downhill at Angel Fire bike park in New Mexico several times per week. Improved grip and even performance from high to low on banked turns. Solid grip on single track uphill.
My favorite front tire...period! This tire is super grippy in all of our SoCal trail conditions. My favorite width is 2.6. I run this tire on both my Pivot Mach 5.5 and my Specialized Turbo Levo.
