Description
An aggressive tread, high-volume casing, and great traction make Ardent an ideal tire for the racer or all mountain enthusiast.
Maxxis uses large block-style side knobs at the shoulder areas of the tread for confident high-speed cornering. The Ardent's center tread, while designed for braking and accelerating traction, also features ramped knobs to minimize rolling resistance. Ample spacing between the lugs helps toss aside mud and debris.
This version of the Ardent is vailable in 27.5 (650b) x 2.25 Inch (57-584 ISO). 65 max. PSI. 60 TPI. Folding bead. Claimed weight: 660g.
Note: The 650b tire size is sometimes referred to as "27.5 inch." This tire is not compatible with 26 or 29 inch wheels.

Reviews
First, I have to say that the tread pattern is great for light trail use in mixed conditions. Second, I am HUGELY disappointed with this tires durability. On the Second ride and with less than 12miles on tire, the center of the tread cuts. I have used XC tires from other manufacturers and Enduro (not DD) casing tires from Maxxis on those trails with NO problems.
