I originally purchased this light for my Giro road helmet. It connects perfectly to the Roc Loc. Due to how increasingly dangerous it is to ride a bicycle in the Atlanta area due to distracted and reckless motorists, I bought a a Giro DH FF helmet for riding on city streets, it the hopes that it may save my life. I tried some other helmet lights but they are just not visible as the Giro Roc Loc light. While it doesn't attach to my helmet as designed, it will with some creative velcro applied to the helmet & the light. This the brightest LED I have been able to find and i find it odd there are not other options of this luminance quality.

I'm on my 12th generation of Giro helmets. This is by far the best, most comfortable I've owned. My only 'crash' is with a 9th generation/first gen MIPS. So, fortunately I can't attest to the crashworthiness of the Aries. But given the testing that has been affirmed to, I'm confident of the protection being as good as it was with Gen9 !
Anyhow, I found the strap design, weight, texture, and placement to be more comfortable. And the head 'cocoon' feels really light.
I can't compare this to other brands because I've never tried one that feels as good. I always end up with Giro. You really have to try any helmet on...head shapes differ and different brands accommodate.
With that, I appreciate the generous return/exchange policy of BTD. While I've not had to use it, knowing it's available makes online purchases more comfortable (as well).

Bought these because I was looking for a super vent shoe with Boas for the deep summer and found them on a good sale. While I expected something good from Giro's top of the line I was surprised how good it was. Admittedly this is my first flagship shoe so I don't know if everyone is used to living like this.
The ventilation is exactly what I'm looking for, the Boas spin both directions which is nice, the closure is snug and comfy and while I may have erred on the side of one size too big they still work and fit snug enough. But the sole, that's the surprise. This thing is quite pleasantly and noticeably stiff in a very comfortable way. Moreover, I feel like the lack of flex makes clipping in and out so much easier than any of my other "lesser" shoes. Usually new cleats need to get a bit worn for me before it becomes easy to clip in/out but for whatever reason these just worked great the first time and every time after. Not to mention they feel sturdy and stable for power delivery. The included insoles with adjustable arches were fine for what they are, but I opted for one of my normal aftermarket pairs that support my high arches a bit better.
5 stars, I would buy again (at the right price)

Did my first TT with this and wow what a difference. Not that it came down to just the helmet as I had a few other aero advantages, but my buddy who weighs the same as me put out 30 more watts than I did and I beat him. That's huge. I also like how the wind noise you hear lets you know when you you're dropping your head and not being as aero as you could be. The visor is a little wonky and gives a bit of a walleye effect, but otherwise no complaints.
