Continental

I just installed the 28mm tires on my girlfriend's road bike, followed by my road bike, and it was as if I was in a dream ' all four tires seated in the rim and inflated on the first try with a floor pump. No blasting air. No huffing and puffing. No eff bombs. Obviously, the Conti tires are going to perform on the road at a high level. I've been riding tubeless for 10 years, tried all the top brands and have been through hell (at times) getting them to set up. By now, I know all the tricks. But the installation experience with these just might be the thing that keeps me from trying any more tires.

I only have 500 miles on this set of tires. No issues great tire.I have only ridden on dry hard pavement with light moisture. Grip is great. Rolling resistance was minimal. Not any more difficulr than any other tire to put on. Matter of fact easier than some. These replaced some Schwalbe marathons. The Terra Speeds are much lighter and faster. The schwabbe served their purpose of zero flats in 2500 miles. I bought them to replace some gravel kings that I had five flats on the rear tire in 3000 miles. I would buy the Continental Terra Speeds again. Jury is still out on durability, but I think they are keepers.

I have been asking every Contintental rep for the past 5 years about a RaceKing in 2.4. While this doesn't carry the RaceKing name, it most definitely is exactly that. I have been using the Trail/Grip combination and it's everything I had hoped it would be. The handling is predictable like the RaceKing and carries with it a suppleness that other tires from the likes of Specialized and Maxxis don't have. I ride in the harsh Las Vegas desert and have yet to have an issue with these. I will be putting the Race/Rapid on my race wheels as soon as its' available.

I've used most of the other major brands of tubeless bike tires (Pirelli, Vittoria, Schwalbe, Maxxis, Michelin) and the Continental GP 5000 S TR tires are far and away my favorites. They are an excellent combination of durability/long life, good rolling resistance and amazing ride quality. Also, they are sized so that the mount easily on every type of wheel that I own ... something that can be a real challenge with other tire/wheel combinations in my experience.
