LO3A Resin pads a big improvment.

I live in a very hilly area and in the summer it gets very hot here in North Carolina. The added heat sink helps keep the temps controllable with all of the downhill runs I have. Wish I could put them on my other bike but they don't make them for the Sora line. These pads were a noticeable improvement the first 1/4 mile I rode with them.I highly recommend them.

Decent pads for the money

Never have any problem with these. Braking is good. No squeals except when wet... but so do all pads.

I would like to get a bit more wear out of these. That would be my only complaint. Otherwise good pads.

Nice upgrade over my old pads

replaced metallic pads with these. They are way thicker than the ones I used previously. I personally think they are smoother, quieter and easier to modulate on downhills. Can't speak to wear yet. Easy install using a plastic tire lever to push the hydraulic pistons back.

Work great. Give great, hard braking

After checking all the competing pads available, I found most reviews pointed to sticking with Shimano's OEM pads. The original set lasted long and didn't have any negative impact on the rotors. So...I'll keep buying these.

OEM Replacements for my road bike

I am still on my original pair of these disc pads. They are very, very easy to remove, inspect, clean andor sand if necessary - perhaps a bit easier to service than rim brake pads due to access. But that is open to debate. Cooling fins are not necessary for flatland use. I cannot comment on effectiveness for long hill or mountain descents.

Quiet, quick wear

Quieter than metal but wear much faster. As long as you can do your own maintenance the cost to wear differential is worth a quite ride.

Solid improvement over the prior generation pad

This latest pad (L03A) is a solid improvement in longevity over the prior L02A pad. The L03A pad wears more slowly than the prior Shimano resin pad, with easily equal power. In fact, the newer pad seems to have a small increase in absolute braking power. In all meaningful parameters, the new pad is an improvement.

Great Stopping Power

My Moots is equipped with the 8070 Ultegra Di2 Hydraulic setup. I ride my bicycles in all weather conditions, including brutal downpours in the Pacific Northwest, mud, gravel, and grime. The Moots is no exception. These Resin pads replaced the Metal pads which were on the bike originally. They have great stopping power, and are easier to modulate than their Metal counterparts. However, Metal pads will stop harder and in harsher conditions. Make sure that you buy the ones you need before you order. Generally... I run Resin during fair-weather times of year, and Metal during drenchy, drippy winter conditions. Resin pads wear a bit faster in exchange for better control over stopping power (and less wear on rotors.)

Nice replacement pads for Shimano hydraulic brakes

The Shimano L03A replacement brake pads offer good stopping power with fairly quiet performance. Too early yet to evaluate Shimano's claims that the L03A pads last significantly longer than the L02A pads that they replace. However, even if the L03A longevity is as good as their predecessors, then I consider them very good.

Hi quality replacement parts from Shimano.

Though I am relatively new to disc brakes, I was very pleased at how easy the replacement of disc brake pads was. Just follow the steps Shimano provides, and the task is done in 5-10 minutes per set. Easy!

These pads have been performing as advertised for the 4 months I've had them while cycling the hills around Seattle.

These pads don't look much different but I can tell they are lasting longer already. No squealing except when riding in the rain and they all do it then,

Less noisy than metal

Use these on the road bike I ride in the rain. Bought them to replace metal pads that squealed like crazy. These are quieter, but they still squeal. I don't know that it's the pad's fault though, I think maybe the rotor Shimano uses for their Ultegra set just might be noisy in the rain. In any case, it is an improvement.

Great road pads

Resin or metal for road? Resin is the answer - quiet, smooth, easy to modulate. Shimano quality. Mine last about 4-5,000 km on a pretty tough commute cycle. Great in hot or cold, sun or rain.
