Give Your MTB The Love It Deserves
The Shimano CS-HG50-9 9-Speed Cassette is an excellent replacement part for SRAM/Shimano 2x9 or 3x9 MTB drivetrains, especially the Shimano Alivio group. The distinctively designed HYPERGLIDE sprockets on this cassette incorporate specially positioned shift ramps and tooth profiles for improved chain control during shifting. Fast and responsive indexed shifting is the result.
For optimal shifting, we suggest that you use a Shimano HYPERGLIDE 9-speed chain with this cassette and replace both the chain and the cassette at the same time. Since the two components wear together, they work best when they are replaced together. SRAM 9-speed chains will also work with this cassette, but there may be slightly more noise during the initial stages of wear.

Reviews
I purchased the Shimano CS HG-400 9 Speed Cassette from BIKETIRESDIRECT.COM for my road bike, and it's been a fantastic addition to my Dura-Ace 9-speed groupset. The delivery was impressively quick, arriving in just a couple of days. Installing it on my White Industries hubs was effortless and everything lined up perfectly, and no adjustments were needed. Paired with the Dura-Ace 9-speed components, the shifting is buttery smooth and precise across the entire gear range, even under load. The cassette integrates seamlessly with the groupset, delivering crisp transitions and reliable performance on every ride. I'd highly recommend this cassette to anyone running a Dura-Ace 9-speed setup or similar, as it's a dependable, no-hassle upgrade that performs flawlessly.
