Description
High Comfort, High Performance
The PRO PLT Compact Ergo Handlebars are a 2014 DB alloy bar which feature a compact bend and an ergonomically shaped top section, for optimal pressure relief.
These bars ensure control for less flexible riders, or for riders who are not as confident riding in the drops. The compact design to the bend of the drops requires a smaller change in position when shifting from the tops, which are ergonomically shaped for optimal pressure relief, or the hoods to the drops. Thus, making it easier for riders to change position. They are available in three widths (38, 40 and 42 centimeters), have a 31.8-millimeter clamping diameter and weigh from 275 grams (for the 38cm wide model).

Reviews
The best thing about this bar is the slope and shape of the tops. If you like to climb with your hands on the tops, you'll like these a lot. The issue I have with them is that the wrist clearance when sprinting is not great. I bump my wrists against the corners of the bar behind the hoods when I sprint. If you look at the top view, you'll notice there is a lot of bulk in that corner area. One way they could have fixed this would have been to add a bit more flare, but they kept the drops narrow.
I know the carbon handle is more comfortable, because it reduces vibration. But this is not so much heavy and very comfortable since it technologically designed.
If this is good, I'll probably buying carbon one.
I like the ergo shape of these bars. I have an ongoing issue with numbness in my left hand and these bars seem be the best in resolving that issue in combination with Castelli Arenberg gloves. Overall, nice shape, the right width, and at a decent cost.
