Description
Pirelli's highest performing tubeless-ready road tire
Developed with feedback from pro cyclists, the P ZERO™ Race TLR SL Road Tire uses Pirelli's new lightweight TechWALL construction and a slick World Tour derived tread pattern. The result is a race-day tire with ultimate performance capabilities that can be used for everyday cycling.
The tread pattern of P ZERO™ Race TLR SL is derived from the famed tire maker's fastest cycling tires ever developed for the World Tour: several seasons of research and development on the road led to a new design that enhances the rolling efficiency and handling of the bicycle in every weather condition.
SmartEVO Compound is a new formulation that enhances the already excellent performance of previous road cycling compounds. The experience of motorsport competitions and World Tour winner input led to Pirelli's best road cycling compound ever.
Supporting the SmartEVO compound is a new carcass optimized for the ultimate rolling efficiency: light and supple while providing optimum cycling performances for everyday use on any kind of road surface.

Reviews
These tires have been my go to tire for the last 3 years. I am very happy with the grip at 65 PSI mounted on Zipp 303s. They are easy to mount, have good puncture resistance, and look great. I have used many other tires over the years, but since switching to tubeless have not found a better tire.
I ordered 3 pirelli p zeros race so 26s that I run on my tt rig as its my preferred tire, and to no fault of BikeTiresDirect, they got marked as delivered by usps but never showed up.
But no questions asked the guys at biketiresdirect sent me 3 brand new ones at no cost. So they certainly have my recommendation and the prices here are so good Ill generally be coming back.
I have used both the Pirelli P Zero Race SL tubeless and the P Zero Race tubeless.
I like them both for different applications.
The Race SL is 20-30 grams lighter, so it is good for race or specific event uses, and the Race model has a slightly thicker tread and puncture protection.
Both tires mount easy on my Campy Bora WTO rims and the bead seats every time with just a normal pump, I don't even have to remove the valve core.
They last a normal amount of miles for this type of high end tire and don't seem to pick up tread cuts too easily.
Pirelli are very good tires.
The Pirelli P Zero Race TLR SL Road Tire is performs as advertised! Fast acceleration lightweight feel and low rolling resistance. I only have 250 miles on them so far, so I really cannot comment on durability. I have confidence in the corners with the grip it provides.
I'm running these in hookless Zipp wheels at around 50psi- they ride fantastic and feel super fast and grip like crazy they corners.
Downside would be they don't have a lot of puncture resistance- city riding in Chicago is a bit dodgy with all the crap on the roads here
I got the P Zeros mounted on Zipp 303s wheels. It didn't take long for me to become a convert to hookless tubeless. The tires are supple and compliant. Inflated at 75 psi, the ride is far smoother with less rolling resistance.
Great upgrade from tubes to tubeless. The difference in feel is amazing. The bike really comes alive with tubeless and these Pirelli's really grip the road well.
