Upgrade To The NEXT Stage While Maintaining Traditional Styling
The MKS Sylvan Touring NEXT Pedals are the first major upgrade to the popular Sylvan Touring. First released in 1979, this high-quality pedal is now available with the ultra-tough Ezy Superior quick-release axle system. The Sylvan Touring pedal has the largest step area in the Sylvan line, offering various foot positions over a 94X63mm area to prevent fatigue. Dive into the world of road racing or mountain biking with the pedals that push you to greatness.
The patented Ezy Superior system allows for safe, rapid, and tool-less removal of pedals for travel, storage, or flexibility. Particularly popular as an upgrade for folding bicycles, those who take their bikes on mass transit, or travel bikes with coupler systems, the Ezy superior system can dramatically improve ride quality while saving space. The Sylvan NEXT series uses Triple Sealed Cartridge Bearings, which provide a remarkably smooth and maintenance-free rotation at a lighter weight than the typical cup and cone bearings. This low drag bearing improves pedaling efficiency, making the NEXT series ideal for long-distance riding.
The MKS Sylvan NEXT is the new premium level of pedals that maintains Sylvan's traditional styling. This double-sided pedal is compatible with toe clips and straps to prevent slipping. The cage plate tooth profile is grippy but not particularly aggressive, perfect for a wide variety of shoes. To match the improved performance, the finish of the Sylvan NEXT series has been upgraded to a high polish chrome pedal body with high polish chrome step plates.
