At just 1.5 ounces, the Pearl Izumi Women's Attack Barrier Jacket is a super versatile "just-in-case" piece to stash in a jersey pocket. Made from ultralight Barrier ripstop fabric, this form fit jacket offers protection from the wind and DWR treatment means it will carry you through light showers. A rear hem silicone grip keeps the fit secure while the two-way zipper design provides quick venting from the saddle. Reviews
This jacket is simple but does the job of keeping the wind chill away on a cool morning or on a long, mountainous descent. Easy to fit in a jersey pocket when you're not wearing it, and the stretchy fabric on the sides help it to fit securely and reduce any flapping in the wind. The DWR coating is not much of a thing in the thin fabric, so it's definitely not made for rain, but it's an excellent wind jacket.
