The Alchemy of Endurance
The LOOK 765 Optimum Rival eTap is a light and fast endurance-oriented bike. Incredibly versatile, it offers a perfect balance of performance and comfort. A distinctive, multi-talented road bike, designed for ultra-distance racing as well as for your everyday rides.
The 765 Optimum is the ideal bike for your daily spins as much as your next cycling challenge. Designed in France by LOOK's team of passionate engineers, it offers a compromise between stiffness and flexibility that will allow you to fully enjoy the ride as the miles build up.
Why Choose Between Comfort And Performance?
The 765 Optimum was created to offer a perfect balance of comfort and performance, which comes in the form of a unique, hyper-versatile frame developed in the LOOK laboratories. Its design combines various endurance-specific carbon fibers, a studied geometry and dedicated technologies that allow you to combine effort with enjoyment on every single ride.
Designed to glide over rough surfaces and face all challenges, the 765 Optimum blends several different carbon fibers, various weaves and specifically-chosen materials to increase comfort.
The seatstay design features their 3D WAVE technology, which provides the bike with optimized lateral efficiency and unparalleled comfort thanks to its specific shape and choice of carbon fibers.
Assertive Design Ready For Any Challenge
As ultra-distance enthusiasts will without a doubt agree, an endurance bike must be efficient to go further, for longer. The 765 Optimum relies on a responsive, lightweight frame (1400g/49oz for the frame + fork) and clever solutions borrowed from top-of-the-range models in the LOOK Cycle range.
The LOOK LS3 stem was developed for optimal cable and brake hose routing from the handlebars to the frame. The gearing cables and brake hoses are conveniently and efficiently routed and secured under the stem.

Reviews
I've had this bike for 1.5 years and about 2,200 miles now, can't say enough good things about it or the quality of service from BTD.
Got it on sale, upgraded to a Force crank & Quarq power meter but otherwise its stock. I was a little skeptical about the electronic shifting, but that dissipated after about the second ride. Battery life is great and you can switch batteries front to rear if one gets low.
The bike climbs, descends, and eats up miles after miles with ease. I've done my first two centuries on this bike and I felt great after both.
My next major upgrade will be a set of carbon HiFi wheels and maybe a fancy 3D printed saddle, but I could def keep riding it as is and be happy. You'd have to spend 2-3x as much to buy a bike with those parts already so I'm happy with the value I got and I will upgrade as my budget allows.
I'm constantly getting compliments on how beautiful the bike is, the color was part of what drew me to it. That and the fact that I had wanted to buy an endurance bike for a while so that I could stop riding my gravel bike on the road as much. I also love having a bike that I don't see a ton of around town, and LOOK is a pretty rad brand so far as I can tell.
Overall super happy with it and I hope to be riding it for years to come.
