Vis Pro 1000Trail blends impressive power with the ability to run all day on portable power. Have tried this out on the road a few times, provides a nice "spot light" style light, but the coverage is still surprisingly wide outside of the primary spotlight range. It comes with different mounts for both handlebars and GoPro compatible options which is solid flexibility out of the box compared to a couple of others I've tried. I've ended up mainly using this as a helmet mounted light with an existing GoPro mount on the helmet. Haven't been able to try it in some single track yet, but I think this would work well as a helmet mount combined with a handlebar light (or possibly two of these working in tandem if you don't need super long battery life at full brightness
I did originally get a unit that had some issues working consistently, but the Light and motion folks had a replacement to my door in about two days after my first email to them. Solid product with top notch customer support. Very happy with this purchase and would not hesitate to buy other Light and Motion products based on this experience.
I use the Light and Motion VIS 1000 Pro Trail Light as a second light with a constant beam along with a flashing front light for highest visibility on my road bike, The features are as advertised, and the strap allows me to place the light on the underside of the bar, preventing crowding around the cycle computer. Great deal and flexibility!
Just used this light on a 2 day, 300 mile bikepacking adventure and it came in handy. Used the high setting while riding through tunnels, blinking when riding on tarmac and through a rain storm and low when I needed a flashlight. It charges quickly and I like the "side" illumination option too. It isn't inexpensive, but it is a quality made product. Should last for years...
