The Giro Empire SLX II brings an even sleeker shape to the Giro icon, combining an all-new Synchwire upper and forged carbon outsole for an ultra-lightweight, supremely efficient update to the icon that reimagined laces.

Flat knitted Synchwire upper combines the lowest weight paired with the highest levels of comfort and breathability. The unique knitted mesh construction builds the venting into the upper with durability reinforced by a thermally bonded TPU skin. 7 classically-positioned lace eyelets provide unmatched comfort and conformity, while power is delivered by an all-new forged carbon fiber outsole plate which improves the stiffness by 20Nm, all in a featherweight 221gm package for size 43.

Features:

• TPU Monofilament Mesh – One-piece woven TPU monofilament mesh upper locks in power with high comfort and breathability, eliminating seams and enhancing performance.
• Unidirectional Forged Carbon Plate – Originally developed for motorsports, forged carbon can be molded into more complex geometries than traditional carbon fiber, better suiting thickness transitions, cleat bolt holes, and compound curvature; the Empire SLX II plate is 20 Nm stiffer than the previous version.
• Supernatural Fit System – Includes footbed and adjustable arch support with low, medium, and high arch support chips to enhance fit and pedaling efficiency while reducing numbness, hotspots, and cramping.
