Description
With its strong yet lightweight construction, Blackburn's Outpost Rear Rack is equally suited for a trip to the market or a tour around the world.
For a rack that's designed to handle long distance touring, it's going to need strength to hold up to the rigors of the road and support gear. Constructed from a combination of Easton Scandium and 6061 aircraft grade aluminum, this rack can support up to 55 pounds (25 kg) of weight. These materials also have the benefit of low weight (while retaining their strength), so it won't be an additional burden on long trips. Additional details like a light/reflector mount, low and high pannier mounts, and compatibility with a variety of wheel sizes makes this the ideal rack for extended tours.
The Outpost Rear Rack is compatible with 26", 29", and 700c wheels, has a carrying capacity of 55 lb/25kg.

Reviews
Use this rack on the rear of my new gravel bike and as one other reviewer has noted I also went a head and hacksawed the extender on the sides and could't be more happier .
definitely recommend this rack very solid.
Good quality rack with multiple ways to attach,, only thing i don't like is the lower brace sticks out and makes yer panniers look cockeyed,, i cured this problem with hacksaw & file,, if it had been made to sit flush between the uprights i would have gave it 5 star's..
This rack is about 10 1/2 inches wide, wider than a normal bike box (cardboard or hard shell travel case) is thick. Most rear racks are about 8 inches. It is also wider than the maximum allowed for travel on AMTRAK. Aside from the otherwise good features (strength), the size of the rack makes it pretty useless if you intend to travel by air with it, or even ship it in a normal bike box.
I am impressed with the sturdy quality of the rack, but it was more difficult than expected to install on my All-City Gorilla Monsoon. Admittedly, this is the first rack I have owned, so nothing with which to compare it.
I been eyeing this rear rack since I got the front rack. The price was great for being an open package item. It came in like new with all the hardware to mount it to my bike.
