The A. Dugast Pipistrello Tubular Cyclocross Tire is designed for deep sand or extremely hardpacked cyclocross courses.

The Pipistrello tread is for extremely fast circuits. Its open diamond tread gives the rider optimal traction on sandy and grassy surfaces.

This tubular tire is available in 3 casings. The regular 100% cotton casing with high TPI (thread-per-inch) offers excellent puncture resistance, elasticity, rolling resistance, and handling in corners. The Flying Doctor casing is made with 87.5% cotton and 12.5% kevlar and is lighter than the 100% cotton casing and holds stronger sidewall protection. The Monsoon compound – formerly known as "Storm" – is the ultimate race offering with a range of benefits, including lower rolling resistance, enhanced traction, and a more supple ride.

A Neoprene Coating made from a 0.1 mm-thick layer of silicon applied with a brush to the tire casing fills the empty spaces in the yarn. This coating prevents water and debris from penetrating the casing and extends its lifetime. This coating is applied to all casings.
