Great front tired paired with Peyote in back

For my area, Park City and surrounding area, the Mezcal up front and Peyote in back is a great lighter weight option. Our conditions are mostly hardback with some sand and occasional this mud (if we're lucky). They seem to handle the rocky sections no problem and are very durable but what I noticed the most, switching from the Maxxis Aspens, is the rolling weight. These tires are definitely faster on the climbs.

Nice tire so far.

I'm running 30mm tires with butyl tubes at about 80psi, and so far (400 miles) haven't had any issues. Ride is comfortable and the tires grip well. They seem to roll fast, but like the comfort and grip that is subjective. If I get 2,500 miles out of them without side wall cuts or delamination, then I'll be satisfied.

Excellent

Excellent gravel tire that can be used in a variety of conditions. Perfect for dry lose gravel but also worked well at the mud fest of unbound. No flats or mud clogging

My Current 'Go To' Tire

I currently have this tire on four road bikes so, safe to say, I like it. I find that it rides well, is relatively puncture resistant and wears fairly well. I also like that it is still offered in a version specifically for use with tubes. I find it much easier to mount onto a standard rim with a tube than a tubeless ready tire used with a tube. It's not an inexpensive tire and, like all things, the price has crept up recently, but I believe it is still good value when compared to some other options. I bought this particular pair, with the tan sidewalls, for an old Peugeot that I do still ride and they look great on the bike.
