Review by ACFUS1Reviewed 7/29/2022by ACFUS1Cycling EnthusiastBel Air, Maryland United StatesTubeless= Easy install, Great grip, good ride, but wears fastI run tubeless and needed to find a tire that would install on my carbon rims with no problems. Other tires (hard casing) would not seat. Someone from a bike forum mention that these Pro 1 tires are more flexible and easier to install.I found that to be true and have already had two sets of these tires. They do wear fast and I found some dry rotting the first 6 months but no flats or blow-outs!

Review by BB in AZReviewed 6/22/2020by BB in AZCycling EnthusiastAZ6 of 7 customers found this review helpful.Smooth ride, short lifeSoft supple tires, nice ride quality, good traction. However, after 3 sets I have switched to another brand as I found they last on average 1200 miles and tend to easily puncture or cut.
Wish I could say otherwise, they are fastsmooth riding using the online Silca tire pressure calculator.

The Pro definitely seats better. I had some trouble with the ONE wanting to stay in the rim channel. I think you also get a more supple ride. Plus the Pro looks better than the ONE, and we all know if you look good you ride good. On my endurance bike I set up with a 30 mm in front and 28 mm in back.

Review by RoadieReviewed 6/23/2022by RoadieCycling EnthusiastSan FranciscoAmazing tire, - fast with great ride qualityI ordered the 28mm with transparent sides. These tires are supple, fast and confident inspiring. Easy to mount tubeless on my Zipp 303s wheels. I use orange endurance sealant inflated to 54psi front, 59psi rear. Bike Tires Direct price match and customer service response was excellent. These are hard tires to find so when you see them - grab them!

First, let me say that the service from biketiresdirect has always been excellent, this negative review is limited to the tires.
I now have about 500 miles on these, and after having had to re-inflate them very frequently (as in before every ride, even in the space of 24hrs) I decided to look at one of them in particular (happens to be the rear one) that was basically turning flat overnight.
Using soapy water, I discovered that there are multiple tiny holes continuously bubbling on the side wall. Not near the rim, not close to the road-contact surface, but in the middle of the side wall. All line-up along a (great) circle.
I contacted b.t.d.com to ask for their opinion. They made suggestions and displayed their savvy in customer handling. But being an engineer, I convinced myself that this is a manufacturing problem. I submitted a warranty claim on the Schwalbe site - and I am now waiting for some kind of answer.
But the real problem started when I felt I could not trust these tires (at least the rear one) for a long ride. I tried to take it off - and was not able to do it - using normal technique and tools. And that is where I draw the line.
Perhaps I am not doing it right, have the wrong tools (after all there years of riding?). But the idea to ride for 50 miles and get stranded because I cannot fix a flat is a no-go.
Perhaps this last problem is an incompatibility between these wheels and these tires - don't know.
But I am looking elsewhere...

Review by DaveGReviewed 1/10/2020by DaveGCompetitive RacerPortland, ORThese are great all-around tiresI have been running these tires set up tubeless on my gravel winter trainer bike for a couple months now and have about 400 miles on them. Using the 30mm width, running 70-80 psi. No flats yet. They feel great on the road, stick well in the turns and perform great in the rain. My previous tubless road tires (Hutchinson) were very slick in the rain and I went down a few times. Not with these Schwalbe Pro ONEs, they stick very well in the wet and inspire confidence. The only downside is they are a bit spendy.

Review by AnonymousReviewed 5/9/2022by AnonymousCycling EnthusiastNo nonsense road tireThe 34mm was fairly easy to get onto a hookless rim, but definitely needed the airshot to seat the thing fully. 300 miles in, and fortunately, nothing extraordinary to report - Pretty plush and fast rolling.

Review by WilierCoyoteReviewed 5/5/2022by WilierCoyoteCycling EnthusiastSan Diego, CA700x34 is fast, fat, and flat-proof.Put these 700x34s on my gravel bike for long brevets, road bikepacking and flat gravel sections. Comfy and much faster on the road than gravel tires! Plenty of width for flatter trails and dirt roads. As expected, there is a lack of bite on steeper dirt.

Review by Phil WReviewed 10/18/2019by Phil WCycling EnthusiastSouthern Indiana1 of 1 customers found this review helpful.Disappointing! After reading some reviews about how wonderful the new Schwalbe TLE tire is, I purchased a couple to try. I got them on my Enve 3.4 rims easily enough (but still not easy) but getting them to seal seemed impossible! These new 2020 tires have been advertised to seat by just using a regular pump-I couldn't get it done with numerous blasts from a Topeak Joe Blow mode pumpl! So I decided to go to the C brand tubeless tire since I'd had success with them on 2 other occasions and it sealed on the first try even without sealant added. Schwalbe has some work to do!

Review by BirminghamBikerReviewed 9/6/2019by BirminghamBikerCycling EnthusiastBirmingham, AL3 of 3 customers found this review helpful.Easily the easiest tubeless tire I have ever mountedI received two of these tires in the mail from Bike Tires Direct while on my lunch break at home. Always one to enjoy a challenge, I decided to mount one before heading back to work. I had already prepared the Roval CLX 40 rims with Stan's rim tape and Giant tubeless stems the night before. The wheels were clean. The tire took less than a minutes to put on the rims with my Crank Brothers tire tool. Without using my sealant and a regular floor pump, the tires pumped up completely with minimal effort. It has never been this smooth on my other five bike running tubeless. So I decided to mount the second to see if this was a fluke. Same story. Less than 5 minutes to mount two tires is great. The sealant will go in tonight. I am a long time user of the original Schwalbe Pro One tubeless on my older bike and they work great. At 200 pounds the balance between pinch flats (with tubes) and underover inflating is a challenge for a comfortable ride. Schwalbe has served me well in the past. Never noticed the puncture on my last 100K ride. I will update after I get a few hundred miles on the less than optimal roads where I live.

After 6 months of use, nearly 3000 miles, and no flats, I just noticed my rear tire is down to the threads. Not bad longevity for a "race" tire! The front tire has twice as many miles and is still going strong. My only knock is they are a bit pricey.

I expected more durability for as much as they cost. I am running normal tubes, not light or latex, and while there is some debris on the roads around my house, I wouldn't say it's excessive. The tan sidewalls look cool, but apart from that factor IMO there's no advantage to purchasing these tires.

I had them set up tubeless and they are a copletely different feel than I have ever experienced. And they are faster. Strava does not lie! Or does it. :-)
Any, Schwalbe quality is the best ! I discovered there DD Durano and loved them.
Buy these tires..., unless they say "only one left in stock"...cause I'll want a pair for next year! :-)

Review by ScotReviewed 8/16/2021by ScotCycling EnthusiastCO1 of 2 customers found this review helpful.Nice tire, punctures easilyTire rolls well, Took a few rides to really get it to seat and hold air, but then it was solid. Up until I got a very small puncture that sealant would not plug. Now back to running a tube hoping someone has a 28 to sell :(

You can ride the others or ride the standard - it's a personal choice. No tubeless goes on without effort, else they'd not be capable of holding air BUT this one slips on much easier than a well known competitor- much easier.

I could barely get one tire mounted and absolutely could not inflate it even with a pressurized pump. Found a defect on the tire as well. Luckily BTD allowed me to return them. I went back to tubes/clinchers.
