Pro One TLE ADDIX

Don't buy this tire because it deflate after a few hours even with anti-puncture fluid and after puting soap on the. I've been riding Pro One for 3 years and never had this problem with older version. The tire loses about 20 psi after a 1h30. I therefore have to put air back into the tires during an outing of more than 3 hours or more. I contacted the company and he replied that it was normal that it was the price to pay to have a little more comfortable and easier to install!!! WoW!!!

Thank you for your feedback.

Returned due to factory defect

I read many good review on this tire as an alternative to GP5000, ordered they came and was not able to seal them on XXX Bontrager with Bontrager Rim strip. I start looking closely to the tire bid and found multiple factory defect p>

Instead ordered Bontrager R3 from, had no issue installing them. I want give Pro One one more change, but after R3. Bikesdirect was kind and refunded the amount. I don't like and I don't return items I bought unless factory defect.

Thank you for your feedback.

Garbage, major defect in casing

Have about 400 miles on the tire and noticed and bulge where the casing is joined together. This has created a bump around the circumference of the tire including the tread where it is now worn through to the inner casing. I'm guessing this is where the tire is joined in the build process and it appears to be very poorly done. Now I have a fairly new tire with a hole worn into it.

Schwalbe Pro ONE TLE 700c x 38mm - Black

Love these tires. Wide enough to feel pretty stable on gravel (for a slick tire) but still fast and really smooth on the road. Also tried these in 32mm and I would go for 34mm if I was riding only smooth roads but in the real world the 38mm are so compliant that I think they may be just as fast. Go for the wider size if your bike has the clearance, you won't be disappointed.

First time Schwalbe Owner

First time Schwalbe owner. After hearing for years how good Schwalbe tires are I splurged on a set of Pro One TLE. I set them up tubeless which went well. I've ridden them around 2-300 miles so far, and they've been great. I would recommend them

Soft but durable. Love these tires.

Been riding these tires for a few years and love the soft grip and smooth ride, 80-85psi is my sweet spot.

Fast and Comfortable

Bought them to train on my gravel bike on the road. Just what I was looking for, the fastest road tire wide enough for gravel bikes. Measured 40mm on 23 internal hookless wheels. Run them on 44psi and they are a dream to ride. The gravel bike doesnt loom funny with 30mm road tires anymore. Maybe ita not aero, but the gravel bike its not meant for that. Easy 5 stars.

Mission IMPOSSIBLE, the tires do not fit snug enough to seat the bead.

I have installed a ton of tubeless tires in my day. This set would NOT seat on the rim bed; they are just too loose of a fit. I tried every trick I know to get them to seat and NOTHING worked. I tried my compressor, using a strap around the tire, installing an inner tube to get the bead to set on one side, that didn't work because the second I let the air out the bead popped off both sides. I tried soapy water, and I tried a C02 cartridge...all failed.

And as a point of reference, my wheels are the new Black Inc 48/58 with 23mm internal width. Pirelli's, Conti's both pop right on with my track pump...these Schwalbe's, not so much!!!!!!

Thank you for your feedback.

Great Road Feel in a Lightweight Tire

I ordered the 28s for my road bike and they are setup tubeless. I got them on sale for an attractive price. They measure 27.75 and 28.25 on Reserve wheels with 22 /23 rear/front internal width. I've ridden the Pro ONEs, tubeless, for two or three years on my old road bike. These tires have an excellent grip and inspire cornering confidence. The front tire lasts me about 2k+ miles, the rear about 1.2k miles.

Great Performance Tire

Good tire, smooth rolling and handled well also very comfortable when compared to other tubeless offerings on the market. Having run Conti, Schwable, Hutchinson these tires compare very well. I would purchase these again, however be aware the millage is limited. I was able to get around 1692km before the rear tire needed replacement, you may have been able to run it for a while longer but I had other tires and didn't want to run them to the edge before replacement.

Thank you for your feedback.

Comfortable and fast but wear very fast, and puncture easily.

I am running 28's on my Defy. The feel, rolling, and traction of these tires is wonderful, comparable to me to the Conti 4000. They wear very fast however, and I am constantly leaking Stans all over the garage and all over my down tube while riding. Material seems very soft with ineffective puncture resistance. Usually they seal up before I lose too much air, but not always. Oddly, they will seal for a week and then when I am getting ready to ride and pumping them back up to the 75-80 psi the sealed hole starts to weep again. I have so little faith in these tires I am starting to pack 30 ml of Stans and two cartridges. If the Conti 5000 tubeless were actually humanly possible to dismount and mount on the road I would go that way instantly. Torn on these tires. A lot of $$ for the mileage you get, great ride and rolls fast, but seem to continually have cuts/punctures. Often on the side walls, which has me wondering if there is a design problem (yes, I am an engineer). If they get the durability and wear up to where they need to be these would be a winner, but they are high priced average performing tires in my view.

Smooooooth

I'm a huge Schwalbe fan and I find this latest tire to be their smoothest one so far. The difference between these and the last iteration is pretty noticeable. I will say that all Pro-level tires by Schwalbe are prone to cuts, but it's nothing a little Shoe-Goo can't overcome.

Full disclosure, I had a bad run with 4 of these, notched it up to bad QC and early adopter-itis. BTD was great about helping me out with that, so kudos to them.

Thank you for your feedback.

Tubeless done right

So far so good..only a few hundred miles in but doing great. Tires mount up super easy and lose little to no air between rides. They're plenty fast and so supple that I caught myself checking the tires when stopped at traffic lights to make sure I hadn't punctured and lost air!!

I will update this review as I get more miles o. The tires and can report better on the wear and puncture resistance.

Smooth ride, short life

Soft supple tires, nice ride quality, good traction. However, after 3 sets I have switched to another brand as I found they last on average 1200 miles and tend to easily puncture or cut.

Wish I could say otherwise, they are fastsmooth riding using the online Silca tire pressure calculator.

This is the One

I have used the Pro ONE and the ONE. The Pro definitely seats better. I had some trouble with the ONE wanting to stay in the rim channel. I think you also get a more supple ride. Plus the Pro looks better than the ONE, and we all know if you look good you ride good. On my endurance bike I set up with a 30 mm in front and 28 mm in back.

Easy setup. Misleading size on the 38mm

Great tire. Installed without levers. Comfortable and fast, but the 38mm width measured only 35 mm. Layed out flat they are the same width as a set of Conti 35 mm tires.

Serious doubts

I bought a pair of these to replace a pair of worn Mavic Yksion Pro UST that came with the Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon SL UST (bought from biketiresdirect.com).

First, let me say that the service from biketiresdirect has always been excellent, this negative review is limited to the tires.

I now have about 500 miles on these, and after having had to re-inflate them very frequently (as in before every ride, even in the space of 24hrs) I decided to look at one of them in particular (happens to be the rear one) that was basically turning flat overnight.

Using soapy water, I discovered that there are multiple tiny holes continuously bubbling on the side wall. Not near the rim, not close to the road-contact surface, but in the middle of the side wall. All line-up along a (great) circle.

I contacted b.t.d.com to ask for their opinion. They made suggestions and displayed their savvy in customer handling. But being an engineer, I convinced myself that this is a manufacturing problem. I submitted a warranty claim on the Schwalbe site - and I am now waiting for some kind of answer.

But the real problem started when I felt I could not trust these tires (at least the rear one) for a long ride. I tried to take it off - and was not able to do it - using normal technique and tools. And that is where I draw the line.

Perhaps I am not doing it right, have the wrong tools (after all there years of riding?). But the idea to ride for 50 miles and get stranded because I cannot fix a flat is a no-go.

Perhaps this last problem is an incompatibility between these wheels and these tires - don't know.

But I am looking elsewhere...

Thank you for your feedback.

These are great all-around tires

I have been running these tires set up tubeless on my gravel winter trainer bike for a couple months now and have about 400 miles on them. Using the 30mm width, running 70-80 psi. No flats yet. They feel great on the road, stick well in the turns and perform great in the rain. My previous tubless road tires (Hutchinson) were very slick in the rain and I went down a few times. Not with these Schwalbe Pro ONEs, they stick very well in the wet and inspire confidence. The only downside is they are a bit spendy.

Thank you for your feedback.

Disappointing!

After reading some reviews about how wonderful the new Schwalbe TLE tire is, I purchased a couple to try. I got them on my Enve 3.4 rims easily enough (but still not easy) but getting them to seal seemed impossible! These new 2020 tires have been advertised to seat by just using a regular pump-I couldn't get it done with numerous blasts from a Topeak Joe Blow mode pumpl! So I decided to go to the C brand tubeless tire since I'd had success with them on 2 other occasions and it sealed on the first try even without sealant added. Schwalbe has some work to do!
