When it comes to foam bar tape, you can't beat DEDA. It has string in the adhesive to aid in smooth removal, when you switch it out. If you like white, Simple Green on a rag will clean it. The price is reasonable & it feels like it should, in the hand. Money well spent.
I got this tape during the 2017 giro to put on my 2010 giant team rabobank giant , then dumlion lost the pink jersey, in support of him I put the orange tape on my bike, and his luck turns and wins!!
This tape is a little firmer than others you can find but it is durable and has a good feel once installed. I have used it before and it has lasted several years. I used it this time to double wrap the top part of my bars on my cyclocross bike to give it a little more cushion.
I put this on my green '76 Takara road bike. It was pretty easy to apply, this being my first time wrapping bars I did manage to botch it in a couple places. That was all user error. However if you have some experience I expect they will go on quite smoothly. They feel good, like suede underhand, with a slight cushion. All in all this was precisely what I needed for the price tag.
I ride a lot so I put some wear on handle bar tape. This tape last's and last's. I get the white and even white doesn't show any dirt, it doesn't stick for some reason. If it does it just wipes off.. I love this tape! It looks great, feels good, wears great!
Its hard to find purple bar tape and I wanted it to match the trim on my 1999 Colnago Dream. It looks good and feels good. I bet the reviewers who said this is easy to install have more upper body strength than I do. I got a workout stretching it to fit the 42mm deep drop bars. It stretched enough and I got an exercise benefit I didn't expect.
I have used this tape for several years now and find it to have a lot of comfort, wares well,
and very easy to apply. Good stretch, and does not tear easily. Good vibration absorption,
looks cool too ! Buy it !
Although a good deal for the price, started having cracks in a few places. Then when unwrapping, it would break apart too easily leaving part of the tape on the handlebar. The sticky strip may be too sticky.
I have these on my 3 road bikes. They are inexpensive, look good, right thickness and comfortable. I was skeptical with the fake carbon look, but today I give it a chance with White carbon on my black bike and it turned out better than I expected. The only thing I dislike about these tapes is the adhesive glue they use, it's kind of over strong glue they use for the tapes, so every time I remove the old tapes, it leaves a lot of residues on handlebar that requires some extra cleaning. Other than that, these are super value!
As others have said, when this tape gets wet, it's very slippery, especially out the saddle. When it's not wet, it's a good to very good tape, that's easy to wrap, has decent shock absorption, and looks smart. However again, this tape is slick when wet and bordering on somewhat dangerous in that type of condition. I put this tape on a track bike that isn't seeing the outdoors so I'm keeping it but if you cycle in varied climates, I'd consider something with a bit more tack to it.
When the weather is dry this is averageok bar tape. When it is wet outside (I live in Florida so you will get wet) this bar tape is very very slippery. Ask me how I know...Good thing I didn't lose my front teeth.
