Padding Too Firm, Shape Makes Sense
For the sale price, this is worth buying. I acquired the version with Carbon rails. It is very light and the rails appear to be made well. Compared the Bontrager seat that came with my Trek Checkpoint, this Velo Senso is notable firmer (referring to the padding). It's shape is good, so I suspect after some ride time the padding will break in some and I will get used to it. But for now, after 30 miles, it gets pretty uncomfortable. I haven't found the right orientation for this seat yet but I will. The structure is not as flexible as the Bontrager seat, as well.

Nice shape for me, not a lot of padding
Saddles are very subjective, and it can be a crapshoot when getting a new model, but this one had a similar shape to ones I've been ok with so gave it a try. After some adjusting, I think I have it in a good spot for now, and I'm pleased overall. Still not perfect for me, but I can comfortably ride 13 miles to work each way without padded shorts. Saying that, this saddle is on the firmer side when it comes to padding. I've found that proper shape makes more of a difference for me than cushion in a saddle, but I started to notice the firmness more on a recent bike camping trip. It was 5-6 hours of riding each day for two days, and I started to wish there was more padding on the saddle about 3.5 hours into each day. I rarely get to ride that long at a time, so it's not a big issue for me long-term, plus there were other factors on the ride that were probably making me notice the saddle more as well. But it feels solid without being heavy and I like the texture of the fabric, works great for commutes and some 1 to 2 hour mixed surface rides on my CX bike. Can't say it's the end of my search for my perfect saddle, but feels like it'll be adequate for many thousands of miles.
