Make Your Next Adventure Epic
Since the start in 2007, USWE has been building high-end action backpacks with a focus on "The Perfect Fit". The team behind USWE are all athletes and weekend warriors, with a wide range of experience of using different backpacks. That's why they pay strict dedication to the philosophy that a pack, like a glove, is worn — not carried. Only the best is good enough, which is why the USWE Epic 8 Hydration Pack was created.
Epic™ is the hydration pack designed for the performance-minded MTB cyclist, who's searching for a premium pack with key features included and that will stay put on your back even in the most gnarly terrain. The pack is equipped with the award-winning and bounce-free No Dancing Monkey™ 1.2 harness system, with integrated elastic straps that don't constrict your chest with every breath. The integrated stretch of the NDM™ harness makes it possible to have a snug-n-solid fit to keep the pack fixed on your back without affecting your ability to breathe and move. It's almost like you're wearing no pack at all.
The USWE Epic™ 8 is geared up with the main storage compartment for hydration and gear, zippered organizer pockets for tools, equipment, and food. A bonus is the two external attachment straps where you can strap on your jacket or armor. The multi-size adjustment found on the pack makes it possible to adjust for your perfect fit over both shoulders and around the chest. That is exactly why this pack is unisex, as it is super easy to adjust the straps for comfort in both male and female adventurers.

Originally bought this to replace my worn out Camelbaks after reading favorable reviews and seeing many on the backs of the pros. After getting it I soon realized two things. First, this was way heavier and beefier than I wanted. And two, even with the straps fully loosened it was still too snug for my liking for my 6'1", 182lb frame. I returned it hassle-free as usual to BTD, save for the cost of return shipping, and eventually got the newest Outlander Pro 70oz version, which is more race-specific and much lighter. And it fit with a little room to spare.
Overall this is a pretty good evolution from the Airborne line that I'd bought this to replace. The redesign of the pack body areas allow it to hug your body more without cinch straps and the gen 2 harness allows the use of the gen 2 USWE GoPro harness which isn't as large and obtrusive to your upper body. The backpanel breathes better than those on the Airborne, so you don't feel as gross after a ride on a hot day, and it dries faster as well.
The one downside this has over the Airborne line is the loss of any organizer pouches in the center section where the reservoir sits. It also still lacks a key clip, which I'd like to see USWE add...I honestly don't know why they still haven't added this, like all other mainline hydration packs have had for years.
