The SRAM Rival E1 / Eagle AXS S500 12-Speed Groupset is a mullet workhorse for riders who want mountain bike range for their drop bar rigs. And with the S500's classic mounting, it's compatible with virtually any frame you want to turn into an off-road beast.

Built with premium materials and exclusive finishes, the S500 brings the power of AXS to all riders. As the flagship of the Eagle S-Series, S500 is ready for MTB, E-MTB, or gravel. It pairs seamlessly with any AXS controller, including drop-bar shifters, making it a versatile, high-end upgrade for riders who demand lasting performance.

The Eagle AXS derailleur is smart enough to protect itself thanks to its incredibly resilient Overload Clutch. In the event of an impact, the motor gearbox disengages, giving the derailleur freedom to move, and instantly returns to its position for a seamless experience for the rider.

The XG-1275 Eagle cassette is for riders who prioritize all day function over anything else. With both 520 and 500-percent gear range available, riders have more ability to spin and recover on the burliest climbs. Featuring FULL PIN technology that uses lightweight, precision engineered steel cogs permanently connected with high-strength stainless steel pins. An open design similar to X-DOME cassette that aids in mud clearance, giving riders crisp shifting performance and longer component life.

Rival gives you effortless one-finger braking and fully wireless shifting with peerless ergonomics. For the E1 generation SRAM redesigned their controls with a higher brake lever pivot, so stopping from the hoods uses 80% less effort than before. But stopping is only one part of the equation, so they also increased the range of the Reach Adjust while also eliminating the possibility of finger pinch under hard braking. Lighter weight, more powerful braking, and better fit for a wider range of hand sizes: all that's left for you is pedaling.
