The 1x12 specific chainring setup reduces the overall drivetrain weight and is perfect for both road or gravel applications due to the wide range of cassette options from SRAM. The 40t and 46t chainrings are equally at home paired with the massive 10-52T Eagle cassette as they are working within a smaller 10-33T cassette range or even the new XPLR 10-44T cassettes.
