I really wanted to like this product for a travel set as the convenience of combining hex and torx wrenches is brilliant. The distinguishing colors are great and the tool interface for all the torx wrenches seem fine. The tool interface for the larger hex wrenches are also good, machined cut ends with a gentle radius on the edges. The smaller wrenches (3mm and down) appear simply shear cut, and have an ever so slight distortion on the cut edges, enough to make it difficult to fit in fasteners my workshop (Wera and PB Swiss) tool have no issues with. This is common for the cheapest hex wrenches and should not exist on a silca product. You could file it flat to fit, but you would lose the corrosion coating. Hopefully silca will update this product as otherwise it is a great offering.
Silca is tops, you know that. But as nice as these tools are in the hardwood box case option, this travel essentials tool kit is all you need -- takes up less space and keeps it all organized and easy to find.
