Description
Keep your feet dry without sacrificing breathability with the Crosspoint Waterproof Wool Socks.
Made with three layers, each picked for their own specific properties, these socks strike the perfect balance of waterproofness and breathability. The outer layer blocks wind and is wear-resistant for warmth and long life, while the inner layer, made from Merino, is antibacterial and moisture-wicking. Sandwiched in the middle is an Artex waterproof-breathable membrane that stops water from coming in while simultaneously allowing moisture to escape from the inside. Showers Pass says these provide all the benefits of traditional booties without the added bulk, so grab a pair (or several) for the next wet commute, training ride, or race day.
Available in multiple colors.

Reviews
Just used them the oncewinter is(nt) coming, I (yet) guessbut can confirm theyre warm and look like theyll keep your feet and toes dry. Primarily got them for my commute on bike trails and pothole covered city streets. Theyre snug so getting them on the first time took some doing but Im sure itll get easier with practice.
This is my second pair Showers Pass Crosspoint waterproof wool crew socks (my first pair lasted 4 years - not bad at all). I use these socks for cold and wet rides, and they perfectly fit the role. The waterproofness is due to a plastic (I assume) layer. In practice, these socks keep me warm and dry on cold/wet days. If you do winter riding, consider buying a pair. I also wear these socks off the bike with boots and running shoes in the winter. Lastly, the socks are thicker than most, so keep that in mind.
I'm having foot problems, so for the time being, I prefer wearing sandals to shoes. I bought these socks to see if I could wear them with sandals in the winter. Never mind that it's a fashion blunder to wear socks with sandals. Well, I'm happy to say that I'm comfortable wearing these with sandals in low temperatures. My toes are not toasty warm; they're slightly cool but not very cold. This product is quite an innovation.
One trouble is that even though I got the large size, they are a bit tight on me in the toes. And of course they are thick so you may need a larger size shoe.
These arent quite warm enough to replace shoe covers on cold days, but on the marginal days they provide enough warmth to leave the shoe covers at home. I have not tested the waterproof aspect, but take some comfort that they will help if things get wet.
Bulky, they fit in my cycling shoes, but just barely. Less expensive than competing products.
For gravel adventures I like this sock. Perfect for crossing streams where you might get your feet wet. However, they are a pain to launder, so I only break them out on those special occasions. Also, be sure your tights are the outside of the sock cuff. If the socks are the outer layer all the water that sheds down your leg will slip inside the sock and pool there, it makes for a miserable experience.
These socks work as designed. I bought them to use when cycling but they are a bit too thick for my linking to use in my cycling shoes. So now I use them in my hiking shoes and they are great

I wear these for road riding, mountain biking, and hiking. They're great for every situation. The wool blend makes them nice and warm and they really do stay waterproof (to a certain point). I recommend them to all of my friends.
I plan on riding the TransAmerica Bike Race (TABR) in 2018 and purchased these for cold weather and any days with all day rain. They have been great at temps in the low 30s without shoe covers for an hour. I am hoping they will be great at lower temps with shoe covers. I got these because other TABR racers highly recommend them.
I haven't used these that much yet. However, I just did a damp cyclocross race yesterday and these kept my feet warm and dry for the event. The temps were low 40s and it had rained overnight. I am glad these held up especially since I have a problem with cold feet.
