Shimano Ultegra/XT RT-CL800 Disc Rotor

The combination of RT-CL800 rotors and fresh metallic pads improved braking on my gravel bike by a factor of ten. The original rotors and resin pads were like having no brakes at all, especially on the front wheel. These rotors shed grime and stay clean, meaning they work every time they are called into service.

I upgraded my disc rotors to the RT-CL800 rotors after installing upgraded Shimano GX brake calipers and Shimano brake levers. Along with the improved modulation of the levers and the calipers, the CL800 rotors provide excellent brake feel and confidence during hard braking with no apparent fade. I can recommend them.

Parts are parts, but Shimano puts out a great product with the Ultegra/XT RT-CL800 Disc Rotor. As long as you replace the pads timely and keep dirt and grit out of the system (read as CLEAN your bike frequently), this rotor will last a long time.

These rotors are extremely well made and have a really nice look. They mount true, and so far are doing great. I purchased these during a BTD sale, which made them an excellent value.

My gravel bike has had minor brake issues on & off for years. This rotor finally got rid of the squeak in the rear. It also seems to warp less than the less expensive model. Your mileage may vary. Since I'm a big guy who lives up a steep hill, I go ahead and spend extra money on my brake components.

Replaced a couple old rotors and went with direct OEM Shimano rotors. Easy peasy

If you run Shimano brakes, then this is the rotor for your road bike. Sometimes you will get one out of true in the box unfortunately. Other than that, they work good, and are fairly lightweight. Centerlock works good, and the lock ring is included with the rotor.

These rotors are great. They are quiet and have great bite with Shimano pads and calipers. I'm sure they have good cooling (not that I've ever had issues with warped rotors). Oh yeah and they stop great in the wet too. They are the same thing as Dura Ace rotors without the black paint. What more could you ask for?

Thought I had a warped rotor, but I was wrong.While I was waiting for the Ultra rotor to arrive I carefully cleaned the old 105 rotor which fixed the pulsing issue. Since the Ultra rotor had arrived, I went ahead and put it on. Easy installation, you use the same tool as the you use to take off the freehub.

Does it work better than the 105? Who knows? Either one stops the bike. Kinda looks nicer, though.

I replaced the rotors and pads, bedded them in properly and now braking is excellent as well as silent.

My road bike rotors were getting thin enough to replace. My bike shop recommended I shop online and bring them in. It was cheaper and fast to order through Bike Tires Direct than for my LBS to order. They arrived quickly and exactly the part needed to replace on my Specialized bike.

The rotor is great, got them to add to a set of Shimano carbon wheels. Lined up perfectly, strong, quiet braking. The description doesn't mention it, but you do get the lock ring and washer with it.

These new ultegra rotors seem to do better in the crosswinds and on the noise compared to my old Ultegra. They seem less susceptible to fade as well on long descents. Recommended if you're updating brake pads or calipers.
