Who knows? Shimano knows
I had built a fixxy (single speed) a number of years ago and the brake cables in this moist environment had seen much better days so I needed to do something about it. I chose the Shimano cables because They were stainless steel and from rebuilds that I have done I knew the cable housing was of high quality. I loved that the cables were double ended and could have been used on both types of brake calipers that I was considering. The only issue I had was cutting the cable housing which I ended up doing with electrical wire cutters so that I would not damage the ends and after the cut taking a small piece of wire to clean out any plastic residue from the ends worked great. All in all a wonderful product at a good price.

Great pricing in a very unpredictable market.
I work on just enough bikes that I need to have a couple sets in stock at all times, deals like this make it easy to do that with out breaking the bank.

Good value - great upgrade for older bike rebuild!
These helped bring a free 1981 Schwinn Sports Tourer back from the dead. The brakes are smooth enough to ride and stop from the hoods! Score!

no issues replacing old ones
Better to have a good cable cutters avoiding issues once you select the end to cut. Avoid unthread the cable at the cut end this will cause issues at installation.

They work.
What more can I say? These are brake cables. They work. Good quality. All the goodies you need in one package. Cheaper than if you went into a bike shop and they cut you pieces of cable and housing.

Works great. Much better than my old cables.
One of the most basic components. I probably should have replaced them sooner. There is a noticable difference in the ease of braking.

Perfect Braking
Didn't know you needed to change brake cables. THought you just let some silicon spray slide down into the cable housing. Had a training buddy test ride my bike after new wheels were installed. Let me know my brake cables needed replacement. I usually go to a mechanic to do all my bike maintenance. He said I could do it myself. I bought these and the installation was VERY easy. And now, so is my braking. Looking at doing this to my other bikes soon since it was so easy and I felt such a great improvement.

Replace the brake cables once per year
I still ride with rim brakes, so I replace the cables one per year and this store has what I need to keep my road bike humming along.
