Comfortable to Ride and Walk in
I have been wearing Shimano Sandals since they were introduced 25 years ago. Other than riding in deep snow, they are all I wear year round. I wear a pair of Showers Pass water socks when it's cold and rainy. They tend to last about 3 years for me.
This 25 year anniversary pair are much more comfortable that previous pairs but beyond that not much else has changed. The toe is not as long as it use to be either which I'm thankful for. My last pair extended about an inch and a half past my toes like a cowboy boot.
My only complaints with them is that they are borderline too narrow and the straps are just too short. I've mentioned this to Shimano for 25 years and they have yet to fix this problem. I end up sewing longer straps on them so they will fit with my water socks.

Sandals are great
Use this on my indoor cycling bike and it is so easy to get on/off. This is my first pair of cycling sandals and feels great. Sizing was a little smaller than what I had anticipated.

Sandals for cycing ? Yes !!
Fits well, very adjustable, provides good pedal feel and has excellent ventilation. Wouldn't take it mountain biking, but very suitable for general trail use.

My favorite neighbor hood shoe.
If I'm just going for a casual neighbor hood ride, these are my go to shoes. They are comfortable, fit well, and no socks required. The shoe I like the most!

my go-to summer cycling footware
Currently, I am riding on my second pair. Great for no sock warm weather riding. My feet tend to overheat especially in the foot beds of standard cycling shoes (Sidi) when riding open roads where pavement reflects the days heat. The cycling sandal solves this problem. Two downsides 1) if the top of your feet are sensitive to sunlight or burning you will need to add sun screen to your pre ride regimnt if not wearing socks. 2) sand and fine road detritus tend to collect between soles of feet and foot pad making stops necessary from time to time on long rides to wipe off.
