Float Over Techy Tracks
The Maxxis Rekon Wide Trail 3C/EXO+/TR 29" MTB Tire is a light-duty trail tire designed to go fast in technical terrain. The Rekon tread features wide knobs down the middle of the tread which provides control under braking. It also has L-shaped side knobs that assure support when carving loose turns.
All Maxxis tires 2.40" and up are considered WT or Wide Trail according to Maxxis whether or not they are labeled WT. Wide Trail (WT) sizes are optimized for 35mm inner width rims.
These Rekons are made with 3C MaxxTerra, which is a triple rubber compound with better treadwear and less rolling resistance than 3C MaxxGrip (featured in other Maxxis tires).
The Maxxis Rekon Wide Trail also features EXO plus, which is an additional SilkShield layer implemented to increase puncture protection, sidewall durability, and resistance to pinch flats.
