Go-Anywhere Do-Anything Adventure Wheels
Ever headed out on a ride not knowing what sort of terrain you'll be riding on? The folks at Industry Nine know this feeling well, being in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains with singletrack and gravel going in every direction from their doorstep. That's why they designed the 700c Industry Nine i9.35 Carbon Wheelset — light enough to climb the steepest hills, aero enough to slice through flat sections of tarmac, and tough enough to drop down the occasional rocky singletrack switchback.
Cutting-edge rim design and materials meet the Industry Nine Torch road disc chassis in this wheelset. Taking advantage of the added clearance disc brakes to afford, the i9.35 wheels sport a generous inner rim width of 21mm and a wind-cheating 29mm outer width. Couple that with the 35mm depth, and you have an all-conditions wheelset that's perfect for undulating terrain.
Weighing in at a remarkably low 1365g, the i9.35 wheels are one of the lightest on the market for all-road purposes. The i9 Series Road Carbon Rim is wind-tunnel tested, and they are one of the fastest disc-specific rims available. Even better, they're tubeless-ready too, so you don't have to add weight with a pesky tube.
Suffice it to say, if you are looking for a monumental upgrade for your bicycle, and you don't know the roads ahead, pick up the i9.35s. They will not disappoint.

To bike pack across Italy, I mounted these wheels with 32mm road tires. Wonderful when climbing the Appinines. Even more fun without pannier load. Stiff, responsive, especially on the hills. Changed the tires to Panaracer 35s for USFS fire road gravelriding in Appalachians. Climbing a breeze and wheels straight as can be in the turns. I own three sets of disc wheels. By far, these are my all-purpose favorite. Torch hubs are terrific.
