Normally I always wear just over the ankle, low socks. These Giro just over the calf height are perfect. Terrific support & weight of material. And they do stay up for the entire ride. No matter how long or how often I stand on the pedals to attack an uphill grade. I took a chance on socks this height & was truly rewarded with quality & material.
After 45-mile rides once a week for the last twelve months, these socks wear like iron. Unlike some socks in my collection, I don't notice any color shift or fading. The ankle weave also diminishes the sight of road grime while in use. So far, grime and chain grease have fully washed out leaving them new looking. I also like the reinforced toepad area which aids the socks' durability. I recommend these socks, especially when on sale.
