Chances are that if you like DeFeet's thin, Aireator sports socks, you'll love Wooleators also! Wooleators are basically an Aireator sock made of high quality Merino wool. Merino wool breathes better than just about any other wool out there.
Being a natural fiber, wool has intrinsic wicking capabilities understood only by sheep and wearers of DeFeet wool socks. They're comfortable in the chill of winter and during the heat of summer. For those of you who immediately start scratching yourself when you think about wool, think again. These socks have been called some of the softest and most comfortable socks by DeFeet fans everywhere. Material: 62% Merino wool, 23% Nylon, 15% Lycra. Made in the U.S.A.
5 inch cuff.

Durable, merino wool socks
I've used DeFeet Wooleator socks for years, wearing them in all seasons, for cycling and everyday use. They hold up well, don't become threadbare and keep down foot odor. DeFeet makes great merino wool socks and BTD is a great source for them.

Best sock I've ever used and after 24+ years, that's a lot of them
I first bought them with the onset of late fall in the upstate NY climate. They work so well that I've usung them now in the middle of winter for EVERYTHING! Riding, taking a morning walk-about, shopping, etc. They're my go-to everyday foot covering.

One of the best out there
DeFeet make the best socks and these are one of the best they make.
I also don't always want a 6" cuff and these fit the bill...Wish they still made 4" ones too!
Don't sleep on these, I think they may be some of the last 5" ones they make.

Great socks
I have several pair of DeFeet wool socks, some of which are several years old. I wear wool socks all year long, lighter weight in the summer and heavier in the winter. The comfort and durability of DeFeet socks makes them well worth the money.

I dig these socks. They fit nice & have a good length for work & play. The wool keeps the stink down to minimum.

Love these socks
I use these socks for cycling 34 of the year. They breath very well and they feel much better to me than the non wool socks. They are pretty thin, but they have lasted for years. The biggest problem that I have with them is that my sons keep trying to steal them from me.

Comfortable socks that last
These have been my go-to cycling socks for some time now. Very comfortable, warm on cool days and cool on warm days. They even maintain much of their warmth when wet. Initial reaction when I first received them was that they are not very stretchy. However, I believe this helps to keep them intact longer. I find that I am always wearing out the toe prematurely in stretchier socks such as SmartWool but less so with these. Pairs that I have had for over 2 years are still going strong. Added benefit, if I commute to work and forget my dress socks, I can use the understated grey without worry that they will look out of place.

DeFeet wool socks rule
I love DeFeat Wooly Bully socks. Mistakenly thought these were a thinner version, but still an excellent sock. They're thin but still fairly warm. Probably good for 40-80 (might be a little hot but they breathe).

Awesome Socks for Cool Weather Riding
Love these socks. They keep your feet warm, yet do not make them sweat. Also, they DO NOT make your feet itch as marino is tight weave and provides comfortable fit.

Excellent, Comfortable and Warm
I was concerned these socks (with wool) would be itchy. Washed them twice. Went out on the first day and they were great. There's no itching. The Marino wool is super smooth knit and feel great. Super comfortable and warm in 40 to 45 degree riding weather. Would highly recommend. I'm buying a second pair.

Wool socks in the Winter? This is a no-brainer.
The socks are good quality and despite a trip thru the dryer they held their size and shape. I love wool for both its fabric qualities of holding warmth even when wet, and its durability. Add to this the special discount that was available at the time on Biketiresdirect.com made this a great value.
A true value is getting what you pay for and this purchase definitely qualified.
