The Campagnolo Chorus 12 Front Derailleur enters the realm of twelve-speed with the same technological advantages as its pricier counterparts, but with a more functionally basic approach. Weighing in at only 8 grams over the Super Record, the weight penalty is minimal at most.
The derailleur offers the same refined cable pull ratio, when paired with new cockpit controls, provides exceptional micro-adjustments of the derailleur position. This trim feature enables you to access all 24 gear combinations of the 12-speed cassette with minimal chain rub.
As with the new Record and Super Record, the Chorus 12 derailleur gets a longer pull arm, improving leverage and smoothing upshifts. The inner cage is also modified to work better with the narrower 12-speed chain and chainrings. Simple alloy construction keeps shifts crisp, stiff and silent. The derailleur offers two cable positions to maximize frame compatibility and keep routing tidy. Finally, the derailleur is rated to clear 32mm tires to accommodate modern road plus formats.

I built up a 1979 Zeus 2000 Supercronos as a test to see if I could ï¿½modernizeï¿½ a great old Spanish frame. It worked like a charm, and you could do it, too! I cold pressed the rear stays to accommodate 130 mm clearance needed for modern cassettes, and of course added European parts. New Campagnolo Chorus 12 speed 11-28 derailleur and shifters, old Campagnolo Pinarello ï¿½drilleumï¿½ pantographed 42/53 cranks Iï¿½ve been carting around since the ï¿½70ï¿½s, got some real Zeus 2001 side-pull brakes from Romania via eBay, along with Cinelli 110 mm stem from Serbia, Campagnolo seatpost bolt from Portugal (the country, not ï¿½the Manï¿½). Added new Brooks C17 saddle and Look KEO Carbon pedals.
