I recently purchased these in size 45 and have about 200 miles on them. I ride about 50/50 pavement and dirt roads and I wanted to try a semi slick tire that would hopefully feel faster than my 40mm Pathfinders.
I'm about 145 lbs and have been running them at 24 front and 25 rear. They have surprisingly good grip and seem to roll decently. They are quite comfy and make road chatter and small gravel/stones disappear under them. By their appearance I wasn't expecting much in the way of cornering performance but they perform better than they look. I'm still hesitant to lean on them real hard, but they corner pretty good.
I would not ride them if it's wet. Did some tame single track and double track gnar and they held their own. The key with these is to run the lowest pressure you can without hitting your rim. At higher pressures, they feel bouncy and rigid. Lower pressure helps the casing come alive and absorb chunk nicely. Can't comment on longevity yet, hence 4 stars.

I bought these as my on-road tire option for my gravel bike. I bought the 35 mm wide version, but mounted on Reserve 40/44 wheels they measure close to 40 mm. Still very fast rolling and supple feeling, and confidence inspiring on twisty paved descents. I love them, except I get repeated punctures on the rear tire ' sometimes self sealing (I'm using Orange Seal), but about 4 times over the last year I've needed to insert a plug. It's enough of a problem that I'm looking to replace at least the rear with a sturdier option.

I had previously been riding the Maxxis Rambler 40 gravel bike tires. I was preparing for the Unbound Gravel in Emporia Kansas the end of May and wanted to go with a wider tire and read several reviews on the Panaracer GravelKing X1 Plus tire and ordered a pair of the 45mm. After getting the put on my rims, I did several gravel rides locally and immeditely could tell the difference in ride feel, cornering, and most of all how much faster these tires were than the 40mm Maxxis I'd been riding. Rode the Unbound Gravel 50 mile race with my youngest son (his first gravel or even bike event) and had a set of the X1's put on his bike as well. These tires were incredible on Unbound. Not a single flat, rolling resistance was outstanding and super ride feel. I'm a believer in these tires and highly recommend!

My buddy and I have been riding these tires for years on dirt/gravel and love them. Seem to last forever. I've run them with butyl tubes, tubeless, and now TPU tubes. No issues. Even cleaned off the old sealant with crepe rubber erasers and went back to tubes. Really have no issues with them. Running directly behind someone on fine gravel they tend to pick up and throw some fines, so then move over 6 inches. Running on pavement is fine to get to the trails, relatively fast tires, and the small knobs actually seem to avoid punctures on pavement. Not cheap tires, but c'mon, they're Panaracers.
