Great rolling resistance. Bicycle rolling resistance tests this tire as one of the best, but unlike the competition at the top of the chart, it still has great grip and puncture protection.
I ride 28mm size on my road bike and 32mm (Now running the 35mm AS version) on my commuter for faster commutes. My commute goes through an industrial area and the debris on the road is insane. I had some Vittoria tires puncture multiple times before going back to my trusty Conti GP5000 tires.

I have four bikes and 3 are running gatorskins. I have been loyal to gatorskins for 10+ years as they are just the best. I recently put the urbans on one of my bikes and was very pleased on my daily ride. Tried it on the weekend rides that sometimes hit gravel roads and bumps. Apparently it is the new black chili tire compound that is the magic. These have the low rolling resistance of gatorskins at lower pressure, are wider and more comfortable and seem to handle the occasional gravel road better. The sidewalls seem thin and have hit some curbs and did not tear it. No punctures thus far and have probably 1000 miles on these. I put them on an older bike and the light weight and comfort brought that bike back into regular service. The most cost effective investment you can make in bicycle enjoyment.

I love the Continental Grand Prix 5000 S Tr tires, they are easy to mount, and they bead up nicely. They are fast, smooth, and long wearing tire, I am on my second set of these, and don't think I will switch to anything different.
