...but for a road bike?

I have a nice pair of well fitting S-Works mountain shoes which are more comfy than my road shoes. So do I buy a pair of $400 S-Works road shoes to match, or put these "gravel" pedals on my road race bike? These pedals are as light and likely lighter than most road pedals, the spindle to shoe height is as good or lower than most road pedals and the cornering clearance almost as good. You guessed it, I put gravel pedals on my TCR Advanced SL race bike and love them. My feet are comfortable, I can walk to the counter at the coffee shop without sliding. As a retired racer, I'm not going to be boo'd out of the peloton and these check all the performance boxes and double check all the comfort and practicality boxes. For reference I'm coming off Speedplay pedals and had to lower my saddle with the lower stack on these. I love them... but now they made a lighter version with Ti spindles. Hmmm?

Thank you for your feedback.

Finally A Worthy Shimano A600 Replacement

I've stockpiled sets of the A600s and have run them for many years. I was excited for these pedals due to the weight and my past experiences with Wolf Tooth products. When I got them, I immediately installed them on my Crux and put them into daily service.

After two or three rides, I was already convinced I could get rid of my A600s. Great engagement, solid feel and good shoe support. I raced them at Mid South 100 and they were fantastic. Getting in / out is fine despite the 1 sided nature, as easy as the A600s.

Durability is still to be determined, but the fact Wolf Tooth offers every single replacement part and stands behind the right to repair I'm optimistic. After a thousand miles, they still feel like they did on the first ride so no immediate durability concerns at all.

Thank you for your feedback.

A terrific, light-weight, stable gravel pedal for non-technical terrain

As a grumpy old Luddite still riding cabled and round tubed bikes, I was surprised to feel a little frisson of excitement when the single-sided DEL gravel pedal was introduced. As a dedicated Speedplay rider for 10+ years (RIP Syzr pedals), the thought of reverting back to one-sided entry was daunting but not a deal-breaker. Sure, there was an adaptation period, but the brain is pliable and I adjusted after a couple of rides. Right out of the box I adjusted the Q-factor outward to 57mm (using WT's spacer kit) to accommodate shoe size and toe overlap. That, plus the larger platform surface made a world of difference in power output and comfort! Like other reviewers noted, the pedals don't always sit up in a "ready" position. Mildly annoying at times, but not enough so as to detract from all the positives.

Thank you for your feedback.

Light race oriented SPD pedal

This is a race oriented SPD pedal where you can only clip in on one side with a smoothing underside. It definitely takes some getting used to from the standpoint of not being able to clip in on either side. After a while you learn where in the pedal stroke to unclip and re-clip in as to not have the pedal presented to your foot upside down. It is very lightweight and dramatically more aero than standard SPD pedals. It's a great product but could be made even greater if somehow its weight distribution were such that it always presents the clip side on top. The bearings on it are fairly stiff and I'm not sure if you're losing any watts due to that but I have not found this to be a problem. I am wondering though if they were not so stiff if the pedals would freely rotate into the proper clip in position.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great low weight pedal that feels well built and durable

Bought these a few weeks back and have several rides so far. I really like the platform as it feels solid and perhaps even a bit better than my Look x-tracks on my other gravel bike. The pedals seem durable and I like that they are able to be rebuilt (time and use demonstrate if they are as durable as they seem). I can't decide if they are a good value or not. The weight is low, but they are only one sided which is something that I like, but feels like it should cost less.

Thank you for your feedback.

Good design, lousy finish

I'm ride 90% road and a little gravel, using the new Shimano Rx9 gravel shoes. I love the support and the design. Not easy to get into, tried the cleats it came with and the new Shimano ones. Maybe it's the pontoons? After a few weeks they are fine, but the engagement doesn't have a definite click. I've managed to destroy the anodizing: I've never had this happen before.

Thank you for your feedback.

The pedal I have been waiting for

Perfect blend of road pedal platform and stability and XC shoe convenience for gravel. Bonus points for the user-adjustable Q factor and light weight. Fit and finish is top notch, and I love that they're designed and machined in the US. Eager to try the ALT pedals on my XC bike next.

Thank you for your feedback.

A solid, beautifully machined, one sided SPD pedal.

I was looking for an SPD style pedal that I could use on my road bike and these fit the bill perfectly. One sided, light weight, and a stable platform. No rubbing on the bottom of my shoes. Nice machining and finish. No complaints here. jimg

Don't like them'

Pedals are super stiff spinning still after hundreds of miles. They don't spin at all so clipping in can be difficult in terrain where you clip in/out at times.

The platform is solid once clipped in, but they don't mesh well with my shoes so likely need a shim to work better. Something that is not required with Shimano XTR pedals.

The stack height is so low you'll need to drop your saddle, so swapping between say, dura ace and these, is a hassle.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great pedals

Awesome pedals. Easy to get in/out. Nice platform too. Lighter than road pedals, if you're a weight weenie.
