Go ahead and re-read the one star review above but this time in a Bernie Sanders voice but pretend also you're doing so at a coffee shop you go

to everyday even though they 'haven't made your coffee the right way in years'.

This tire is very tough. But the strange thing about them is how they fit older rims that aren't very wide and don't have a deep spoke bed. Because, even though they are very supple, and the first bead is relatively easy to get on the rime, the second one is nearly impossible to get on the rim. And assuming you are able to get the tire on the wheel they don't seat into the bead well at all. It doesn't matter how much you mess with it, or high you get the pressure they turn up out of round, because of the very poor fit. And if you get a puncture or flat somehow, they are nearly impossible to get off the rim. I tried them on three different rims. The first are some unbranded Chinese carbon rimmed wheels from the early 2000's. The second wheels were wheels with Campagnolo Record hubs and Mavic Open Pro rims from the early 1990's. And the third are some newer Shimano WH-RS500 tubeless ready wheels that I was considering setting up tubeless. But I could not get them to hold air enough to get them to bead at all. So I gave up trying. But on all three wheels they were extremely difficult to mount and dismount. They might be easier on wider rims. but not on any narrow rims.

I've had these tires for a about three weeks and really like them. As stated in other reviews, not the fastest rolling, but puncture resistance is what I was after. If you're looking for a racing tire, this is not it. If you're looking for an endurance tire, this is it! As someone that uses the road bike mainly to train for other types of cycling events, this is a great tire. I've ridden it in the wet and felt confident in the traction. Have about 400 mi on these tires and would definitely buy them again.

I've had these for a couple of months now and really enjoy them. They're not the fastest or the lightest but they don't puncture and ride great. If you're not trying to set KOM's and don't want to worry about flats these are a great tire.

Great tires for sketchy roads. A little heavier but worth the trade offs.

Vittoria says these can be used with tubes. I don't believe it. I've tried them on two sets of rims, using heavy duty tire irons and every trick I've learned in over forty years of cycling, but I can't make them work. All I've done is gouge up two rims and pinched several tubes. These tires are way too small to use with tubes. I did manage to get them onto rims without tubes so, if your plan is to run them tubeless then maybe, but good luck if you suffer a flat that requires putting a tube in. You'll be calling someone for a ride before you get a tube in. If I could give them zero stars, I would, as they'll probably see the inside of my trash bin before they see the road. I'm going back to Rubinos.
