This stuff is very thick, I couldn't get more than a tiny amount into the tube so it didn't work

Stuff works great on thorns, so I recommend for fat tires like mountain bikes or bike trailers. Carry a spare tube though, because if the tube injury is too large for the slime to seal, you will not be able to patch the tube. Slime gets all over the place and you cannot patch it on the side of the road. I do not recommend for road tires like 700cx23 because, in my experience, blowouts and large tube injuries are more common. Also, the amount of air that can leak out while the slime does its job is much less in a roadie tire than a fat MTB tire. Be sure to carry a tire pump. The slime might not seal if the thorn is still stuck through the tire. You may have to pull the thorn and then air back up. Got stranded that way once.
