Bought a crock-pot for $20 and constructed posts which straddled the pot. Posts held a steel rod for allowing the chain to drip into the crock-pot. Melting and applying the wax went smoothly, but freeing up the waxed chain after it dried was a pain.

I've done two new chains with this wax and Chip Strip, and with one cleaned w Silca's cleaner and then waxed with the same mix as the first two. I rode the 40 mi leg of Levi's Gran Fondo on 4/13/24. Smooth sailing. The other new chain I waxed is on the bike in my trainer. Both work fine. It's nice not getting slimed by these waxed chains.

I can't say I noticed any particular power savings, but not having to worry about getting oil on myself or my stuff is worth it alone. This wax works well and lasts long enough for me, I usually re-wax every 150miles and only need half the bag to fill up my wax pot.

If you live in a dry climate and don't wax, you cray. This is sooo much better than traditional lube.

Worth the cost of admission. First time hot waxing my chain and I don't see myself going back to regular lube. Chain and drivetrain are running silky smooth, super clean, and very quiet. Lasts about 200 miles for me before needing to reapply. Get yourself 2 chains to rotate through and it's no hassle at all.

I use this periodically and top up as needed with drip wax. I'm happy to have a clean chain and save the wear on my other components.

The key to this working great is to ensure you have taken the many steps to strip a brand new chain to the bare metal. Take your time and you will be rewarded. Outstanding smooth and quit and efficient drive train performance.

Just started waxing my chain with this and it keeps things running very smooth and clean. I re-wax every 200 or so miles. It does flake quite a bit after the first application.

My drivetrain is quieter and smoother than ever; this is superior to any other lubrication product on the market. Before this product, I was cleaning my cassette and chain after every ride. Now I just wipe my chain down after each ride instead - much easier! Cassette barely gets dirty and I clean it every 3rd or 4th ride as needed. Top off after about 100-200 miles with the Super Secret drip; the whole system is an absolute game changer. Yes it takes some effort and getting used to, but it's well worth it. I have been waxing the chains on my Wife's and my bikes for around 4 years. SILCA Secret Chain wax is what I use. Clean, quiet and just flat out works! I haven't had to replace any chairs, chain rings or cassettes on any of our bikes. Virtually zero wear so far. Once you get the system down it is easy.

Much cleaner than using wet lube like I have been and it's one of the fastest lubes to use. I have it on the chain on all my bikes now, except the one on the trainer. Reapplying it every 200-250 miles.
