I had the original Ultegra 12-speed Di2 cassette on my bike for two years and almost 20,000 miles. It worked fine but I felt like I had to put a new one. In my previous experience with Shimano's mechanical 11-speed, cassettes had to be replaced every 8-10,000 when shifting started to fail. Not with this 12-speed cassette. I installed a new chain last year just in case, and this year as well though chain was not stretched, and cassette was still shifting smooth. I inspected the old cassette for wear and tear, and I could see no markings or dents. I lube with grafite/teflon wax on the chain, but not on the cassette. I just wipe it clean. I highly recommend Shimano's Ultegra. The price is a little more expensive than the 11-speed were, but much less than Dura Ace. BTD had brought down prices significantly in the last few months, and their VIP points get me extra savings, great customer support, and free and reasonable fast shipping. Thank you!

I just installed a new Shimano Di2 Ultegra CS-8101 (yes, CS-8101) 12-speed cassette on my BMC this past weekend and my bike is running like a dream once again. I was able to put 10,200 miles on my previous CS-8100 cassette that was on the bike when I purchased it. As a preventative measure, I went through three chains while I put those miles on the bike. I take tremendous care of my bike, and go so far as to completely remove my cassette approximately once a month to do a deep clean of it with Muc-off. I dry all the components carefully, and then reinstall the cassette and torque it to 40 Nm. I knew it was time to change the cassette when I couldn't stop the chain from slightly bouncing around, and failing to properly/immediately index into the 5th, 6th and 7th gears at high speeds: now it runs so smooth and quiet. If you take tremendous care of your bike, it will take care of you. Thanks to BTD for having all of these items and tools on sale for us do-it-yourself bike mechanics.
