Replaced a worn out pair of lace-up mountain bike shoes with SPD clips. The shoe is quite an improvement.This shoe felt very comfortable as soon as trying them on. Normally wear a size 10 1/2 -11 wide. This shoe at size 46 was just right-not too tight or too large. The BOA lacing system is a pleasant surprise. Easy to use and secures the foot. The velcro tab at the toe allows for custom width adjustment. Installation of SPD clips was straight forward and allows for custom positioning. Power transfer to pedals was excellent. Product was purchased on sale and an excellent value.

I've used several different brands over the years and I have learned that, for me, Shimano shoes are reliable enough to take the guesswork out of the equation. They fit well, though I get a smaller size than my regular shoes just because I like a tight fit in a bike shoe. This pair seems to be on the same path as the other Shimano shoes I have used, long-lasting, good fitting, no fuss shoes. (Did not get five stars because Ive never ran across anything that is perfect.)

My wife and I ride a road tandem with SPD pedals. We prefer these because it lets us walk around when we take a break, especially at a convenience store. We had older Shimano trail shoes that were starting to look worn out so a replacement was in order. These totally fit the bill. We like the way they fit and the ease of the tightening mechanisms to snug up the shoes. The synthetic outer is preferable for resisting rain. The perforated outer helps with keeping feet cool. The only complaint was from my wife regarding the all black style which did not look sufficiently feminine. We solved that problem by coloring in the white lettering with a pink permanent marker, also making it easier to differentiate hers from mine. The sizes seem to run a bit small. I would normally take a European 44 or 45 (American 10.5 -11) but in these I take a 46 to get a comfortable fit. Fortunately we anticipated this because our last shoes were also Shimano.

I've used these for the past couple months for gravel, mtb, and cyclocross, and they've performed well all around. They're fairly stiff so I'm surprised by how comfortable they are when running in cx. Sizing seems true.

Low top build great for warm weather. BOA ensures customizable fit.

Seems well made, only have used shoe for a bit , trying to break them in, they seem a little narrow than I would like

I bought these shoes to use on my dual sided pedals installed on my city bike Scott Sub Speed 10. Work great, very comfortable and look good off the bike.
