Up from 25mm

Great tire so far. Much more cushion than the original 25s but just as fast. Feels like Im riding a new bike.

Schwalbe and Tubeless - This ain't tomorrow, it is today!

Into my second season on the Schwalbe Pro One Tubeless. Great tires all 'round. Ride like a dream, reasonably light, easy to mount, tough as nails. I've used these for commuting, training and racing. I have the 25 mm tires mounted on Enve 3.4 rims and run 70 psi front and 80 psi rear. I weigh 152 lbs. Great ride and great handling in rain and dry. And, I think just as tough on gravel as the Hutchinson Sector 28's.

Thank you for your feedback.

Update

I can scarcely tell you how many times Ive heard that ch-ch-ch-ch sound as the sealant did its trick on my 28s. And I dont like how hard it is to get sealant off my frame after it gets sprayed. But Ive got close to 2k on these, and the combo of these tires and Orange Seal and my Ultegra rims is kind of magic. I have been on several long rides with multiple punctures, yet I kept rolling (and if you have these wheels, you know what a bitch it is to get tires on and off.). Im 175 lbs, and run 75-80 psi. So comfortable. Amazing grip in the corners. So much more confidence while riding. Sure, my 4 Seasons might not have punctured as much, but they are SO hard.

For those who have had problems sealing, Id recommend the Ultegra wheels. The Pro 1s pumped up with a track pump! And the rims are tubeless ready. Lightweight, inexpensive, reliable, if not particularly aero (but that has improved).

Thank you for your feedback.

Fast rolling, fat and plush (in 25mm), apparently durable, great tire!

I bought these on sale, and relative to other road tubeless they are a good deal if you can get a break on paying full retail price. Tubeless road tires are definitely not cheap and because I am, the value rating is only three stars. If these continue to wear as they have so far, I would rate the value higher.

Because of the rough roads where I live, I decided to try the 25mm versions on Williams 22 wheels. I've had these tires on for about 6 weeks and about 600 miles and what stands out is that they roll extremely well, it is very noticeable. I previously ran Hutchinsons (have tried all of their tubeless line) for the past 6 years. The Schwalbes definitely feel faster than any of the Hutchinsons that I've tried. As far as the size, these 25mm tires are fatter than the Hutchinson 25mm's that I previously tried. The Schwalbes barely clear my frame and fork on a Cervelo R3. If you're worried about it, get the 23mm's.

I've been careful with the Schwalbes, brushing the tires immediately with a glove after running through anything suspect. I ride them as if they were my old sewups because I hate flatting and I'd like to get max mileage out of these tires. I've got about 2 oz of Stan's in each tire. So far, so good, no tread cuts at all. Running both tires at 75 to 80 psi. (A little note about road tubeless from doing it for the past 7 years If you're getting a lot of flats, try reducing pressures. A tire casing that is under a lot of tension from high inflation pressures cuts more easily. Think of trying to cut a string that is loose vs. one that is taught. Plus, lower pressures allow the tire to grip better and soak up more irregularities in the road surface. Lastly, don't be stingy with your sealant, especially with a brand new tire. The casings seem to almost soak up some of the sealant when the tires are new.)

Overall, these are my favorite tires that I've had and I've been riding for a very long time, including stupid amounts of miles when I was still racing (those days are in the rear view mirror). They're fat and plush but roll very fast. The durability so far seems outstanding. The only question is whether I'll stay lucky and avoid slicing them. I even ordered a second set, just in case, or when I finally wear these out.

Thank you for your feedback.

I think i was a sucker

Always seeking nirvana gadget i bot tubeless rims and these tires. I got a flat on second ride and

this tire was seated or glued by stans so well to rim I could not take it off with steel spoons. Back at home I could hardly get it off brutally with channel locks then stanley knife. Perhaps my new rims are especially bead locking but I will never know. Tubeless in garbage and back to vredestiens and contis.

Fast, smooth long wearing tubeless tire

The Schwalbe Pro One tires came standard with my 2017 Cannondale Supersix Evo High Mod, running on Stans No Tubes wheels. I removed the stock tubes after 6 goat-head thorn flats in 2 months and gave tubeless a try. Using Stans No Tubes seleant, I've run over 3,800 miles on the front tire until it appeared that a possible cording was starting to show through the tire causing a ridge, yet the side tread was still strong, and lost the rear tire to a large cut that couldn't seal back in mid August at around 2,700 miles...with plenty of tread left. I ride roads, bike paths, dirt roads and raced a roubaix on them and they are solid in performance. the control in fast mountain descents is beyond what I experienced in Continental GP 4000 II. Running lower psi provides longer life in my experience...I'm a 135lb rider running 60-65 psi.

Jury is still out.

I have ridden Hutchinson Tubeless for a few years now and they have been easy to mount and get to seal. In thousands of miles I have only experienced one blow out and no punctures. The Schwalbe Pro Ones came on a new bike and I have had nothing but trouble keeping them sealed. I finally started looking at the tire bead and comparing it to the Hutchinson. The Hutchinson bead it smooth while the Schwalbe isn't. I am convinced that while I can get the Schwalbe to seal, the nubs and roughness of the bead result in them not staying sealed. I never had this problem with the Hutchinson tires. I think this will be my one and only pair of Schwalbe tires and they may just end up in the trash.

Great tire, very fast and comfortable

I've been riding tubeless 2325 Specialized Roubaix tires for the last few years. They've been durable and relatively quick, but wanted t try a larger volume tire. The Schwalbe tubeless are great. They went on easily and hold air well. The ride is much more comfortable, and a bit faster the the Roubaix's. I couldn't be happier with them, a nice upgrade.

Smooth Rolling

I love having tubeless road tires. These ones roll smoothly and quietly and have a good overall feeling. They stick to the road well on descents. I have not had any problems with cuts or nicks in the rubber. I recommend these.

Update

Ive been riding these since summer. Had a couple of punctures that sealed (Orange Seal). Today was different. Rode for a bit with sealant spraying all over... then I stopped and cranked the wheel around, and it never sealed. The cut was a little less than a quarter inch. Eventually I had to put in a tube. So, while I love these tires (see my review below), nothing is bulletproof. Im probably going to stick with them, because my riding experience has become so much better. I still have my rock-hard Conti 4 seasons on my other wheelset, but they are so uncomfortable. Its a trade-off.

That punctured tire has about 1000 miles on it. Maybe I can resurrect it, well see. Hopefully. But 50 bucks for 1K for the way they roll? Money pretty well spent.

Thank you for your feedback.

They work, and work well

Used these on my race wheels for the second half this summer thus far.

Very nice riding tires. I've had them up to 110psi and down to 80psi, at both ends, the tires held on well and I had no fears of the tire either pealing off or blowing off the bead.

These are the first tubeless road wheels that I have used and they have been without issues.

(Have them mounted to Zipp 303's with Orange seal)

Thank you for your feedback.

Just a great road tire

As tubeless road tires go, these mount easily, seem to roll fast and wear pretty well. Using Stans for sealant, I've had good good luck re-sealing after flats from the many thorns and road trash in my area. I've tried both Panaracer and Kenda road tubeless and prefer this tire. I'm no longer racing but I am using them on my HED wheels for fast group rides and on my gravel bikes' road wheels. They are pricy but in my opinion, worth the cost.

Thank you for your feedback.

Love this tire!

I'm on my second set of these tires. As Road Tubeless goes, they are easy to mount and easy to inflate. Mounted to my Dura Ace C24 tubeless wheelset, they hold air pretty well - I can go a few rides without needing to add air. Most importantly, they do their job. I never understood what a supple tire was until riding these. Running somewhat lower pressures than tubes, the tires have excellent grip (I love a high-speed corner) and are comfortable for long rides (206 miles the longest I've done on them). I can attest to their low rolling resistance as well I can coast faster than anyone, often passing riders who've started pedaling on rollers. Cons? They do wear out a little more quickly than I'd like, with the rear showing visible signs of wear within 1,000 miles. I was considering rotating my tires when I got a slash in the rear. I'll note that the slash didn't kill the tire - the sealant (Cafe Latex) did its job, and I did several more rides on it before deciding to replace the tire. I'll end by just saying that I've ridden quite a few different road tires over the years. For reasons of comfort, grip, rolling resistance, weight, and puncture protection - these are my new standard. I think with these, Road Tubeless starts to make sense, where I had previously been disappointed in the system. I have neither raced nor commuted on these, but I have put thousands of miles on them through various events and training rides.

Thank you for your feedback.

I like!

I'd been a little hesitant to go tubeless since I ride in and around Portland, where broken glass seems to have become endemic in bike lanes. But I wanted a more comfortable ride, so I took the plunge with these.

I'd read enough horror stories of seating tubeless tires, but that wasn't my experience at all. I mounted them on Ultegra 6800 wheels, which was a pretty tight fit. Schwalbe recommends mounting without sealant first, and I was able to get both tires up to 60 psi with my track pump. Let the air out, put in Orange Seal, and pumped them up again. With my track pump.

And the ride? Fabulous! I weigh about 180, and have been running them at 80 psi. They ride much softer than my Contis, corner great, and descend very, very fast.

I have about 500 miles on them, and they are in great shape, no nicks or cuts yet. I was planning to put my 4 Seasons back on for the winter, but I may not have to...

Thank you for your feedback.

great ride, no puncture, prone to tread separation

I've had 2 sets of Schwalbe one tubeless, but have gone through 5 tires. Two have developed bubbles under the tread. Schwalbe was very good about replacing them. (40% failure rate??)

Best puncture resistant tire I've had in 30 years of riding and commuting. A few Stan's spitting hisses, that seal themselves and I forget about them. I ride them until the casing pokes through the rubber.

They wear quicker then gatorskins, about 2000 miles on a back tire where the continentals I would get 4000.

Great ride. lighter than most tiretube setups, firm grip. Work at lower pressures. Confident in corners. Lower pressure make for softer rides, if wanted.

I would (and have) buy them again - I just check closely for bubbles forming under the rubber. It seems the rubber cracks quicker than other tires I've had, but I usually wear them out before it's an issue.

Thank you for your feedback.

Great Tire

I've been riding the 23mm as the 25mm were out of stock last year. I was quite happy with the 23mm and they've shown little wear in a year of riding. Now I have the 25's on and notice they are more comfortable. Tubeless is the way to go. These are relatively easy to install, durable, comfortable. Wait for a sale, though, as they are pricey.

Great tire, rolls well, stands up to gravel riding so far

I only have about 200 miles on this tire so far. I have the Pro One mounted on my gravel bike on Reynolds ATR wheels. (21mm inner, 29 mm outer). They were a little tough to mount on these rims. This is my first experience riding actual road tires tubeless and I don't think I want to go back to tubes. I like running them at a lower psi for the occasional stretch of dirt road, though I will probably switch back to my dedicated gravel tires once the dirt dries up. I checked these tires out on bicyclerollingresistance.com and they are rated near the top of the list for their low RR. (it was a shock to see how poorly my training road tires rated, so this website was a very useful resource). I'll be looking for tubeless-ready wheel for my road bike and will eventually swap these tires over as my new go-to set up.

Thank you for your feedback.
