I have several thousand miles on these mounted on a 2010 29er. Used primarily on the potholed streets of Parma OH, old sidewalks, curbs, potholes, rail paths, packed gravel, occasional grass fields and packed bike paths. Inflated all the way to 70 for low rolling resistance. Several flats due to nails and broken spokes along the way, but in all fairness, a hostile environment for bike tires. These are not going to be good in wet or muddy situations for sharp turns 'I have a spare set as you only need them when the supply chain is shut down.

I purchased a commuter e-bike in March this year. After only six weeks I had three flats. I knew I needed a tire that is tuff yet smooth. The Marathon Supreme the ONE ! Mean street tire !

One of the five stars on Overall Rating is for biketiresdirect.com . . . rear tire failed before hitting 500 miles. Emailed a picture of the damage and explanation of issue on Monday night. Tuesday morning at 748, Tommy had a reply, Sorry to see this happen. Get that tire to us and we'll provide a replacement. I LOVE IT!!!
Just got the replacement mounted up, took a test spin around the neighborhood, and all seems good to go. Front tire at just under 500 miles and looking very good.
Thanks guys for a great customer experience.

Are they a bit pricey? Yeah, they are. It's why I waited a year to finally get them. They're on a Giant Talon 29er - my commuter rig. First impressions
A folding tire, a bit tricky to get wrapped on the rim. Once set, the bead locks with a pleasing snap! Might be tricky to get mounted without an air compressor.
Tires look smart on the bike.
For a 2 wide tire, they're very quick and easy to get up to speed. Cut 10 minutes from my commute.
Rode in steady rain and thought something was dragging on the bike like a disc pad or a small stick stuck under the back fender. Turned out it's water streaming off front tire slinging against the fender flap. Even had my kid look to make sure I had tire rotation right (bad eyes and I'm dyslexic). This new tread pattern tosses the water more than any tire I've ever rode.
102 miles so far . . . will revise in a few weeks after 1,000 or so miles.

I put these tires on my Salsa Fargo 29er. This is the second pair of Schwalbe Marathon Supreme I have purchased. I ride 3 or 4 times a week on various surfaces including pavement, and single track trails. Over 3 years of use, I only had 2 flats. Compared to more typically 1 or 2 flats per month using various other tires. It's not just a great tire, I consider this one of the best consumer products I have ever purchased.

Pros
- Excellent puncture resistance over thousands of miles. I only had one flat due to a pinch flat over a seam in the pavement.
- Great wear resistance, again over thousands of miles before they need to be replaced.
- Decent-ish performance on dirt.
- Excellent (low) rolling resistance.
- Light.
- Super grippy on paved roads.
Cons
- I had a sidewall failure on the front tire after about 1.5 years of constant use. A tear and bulge started to develop. This is not cool.
$ bucks for one tire? I wouldnt expect sidewall failures for that price!
- Another annoying feature of this tire is that the 2015 version has a tread pattern that is noisy and makes the bike vibrate. It supposedly channels water away, but it has an unfortunate side effect.
Overall I was pleased with the tires, but I'll opt for the cheaper and more durable marathons in the future. They're less noisy and perform better off-road.

Had these on a Spot Highline and moved them over to my new Surly Ogre. The tire is perfect. I have this same model (though skinny) on my LHT. It's supple and durable. No issues with this model on tour and as a commuter in rainy Oregon it has performed flawlessly. Very confidence inspiring. I wish they made a 2.3, but the 2 offers plenty of cushion when run at low pressure.

giving this product 5 stars because it is performing very well with 800 miles of use on it. It has shown no problems and rides nicely.

Mounted a set of these on my Surly Ogre that I am using as a commuter grocery getter. Really pleased with these. Low rolling resistance, tough as nails and seem to have good traction. Also like the reflective sidewall a lot. No flats at all as of yet, Have pulled several goat heads out that did not penetrate. I am seriously thinking about going with Schwalbe Ultremo tubeless tires on my racing bike as well after using these. Great tire.

I needed tires for paved bike trail riding for my Talon 29er, the Kenda small blocks work great off road, but these are far superior on pavement. No flats to deal with!

Went to this tire after repeated flats with Continental Gator Hardshell. In comparison, better mileage, fewer flats over 4Kmiles of travel.

I had trouble with flats on my Cannondale Tesoro. I tried these tires with Rhino Dillos and so far, no more flats. I commute 24 miles every day and have been flat free for four months.
